    So we were right about Seager all along. His elbow is fucked and he's getting Tommy John surgery. Douchebag should have done it last year. Must be taking lessons from Shaquille O'Neal on how to be a selfish fuck on company time.

    Well that is insult to injury. It would be nice for a chance to have a healthy team.........

    Looks like Breyvic Valera got called up. Hopefully they move Taylor to SS and bring Toles back up.

    now. though they did a great job getting under the $197M threshold,
    and won't want to do anything to spoil that    .

    Currently, yes. Unless somebody wants to argue on behalf of the pen.
    Still, big picture, one Fat Joc Pederson was our best hitter when it mattered most last season.
    They can't afford to turn their nose up at a 25yr old slugger/superstar in Manny that's making about 10M less than Stanton this season.
    If a miracle is upon us - Peter Angelos being reasonable - have to jump at that, but yeah, I don't see Angelos being reasonable.
    But if they do go after Manny, they should do so now, because LAD themselves may be dead and selling at the trade deadline

    Record: 12-16 (69)

    Good:     Well, Clayton Kershaw still starts every fifth game. Sure, the Dodgers have won just two of his six starts, and the velocity is down, and he just had that weird six-walk game, but his ERA is 2.84, and Dodgers fans definitely are not worried ... right, Dodgers fans?

    Bad: Corey Seager's season-ending Tommy John surgery is the exclamation point on a terrible month. The Dodgers have depth, but you don't replace one of the best players in the game. With Justin Turner still out, Yasiel Puig not hitting and now on the DL and Chris Taylor falling back to earth, Cody Bellinger is the only threat in the lineup. I mean, the Dodgers are now counting on Matt Kemp and Chase Utley.

    Whoa, Cueto is dealing with elbow discomfort and has been placed on the DL . If it is anything serious, I wonder how soon before the Giants would go into full on sell mode.

    Machado is making 16 million this season. They'd need to shed quite a bit of payroll to stay under the tax. If you add Manny, you're only replacing Seager. You still need help in other areas.
    Kemp would be ideal to send out but then we'd have to part with better or more prospects.

    This whole situation is a bummer.
