    Word is that Josh Donaldson is getting a lot of interest and is likely to be moved today. Only team I’m hearing is the Cards who have had him on their radar for years. Wild idea from my side is the Dodgers putrid offense against LHP’ing. Use Donaldson against LHP, a couple games a week against RHP and have Turner man 1B those games. Maybe try to pawn off Kemp to open a roster spot and pay a huge chunk of his salary next season ($10-12M) for a potential DH in the coming season. Dodgers aren’t rumored at all, but Kemp is clogging up a roster spot at this point and like Taylor, should not be starting if this team has any hope of making the playoffs.

    Dodgers have acquired Madson for Andrew Istler. Istler is having a good year across 3 levels as a RH reliever, but not a big loss here.

    Trading Kemp is not something to count on. Most likely nobody wants him.
    Making Kemp a pinch hitter going forward might be the best bet. See if not having to field and getting to concentrate on having one good at bat a game will get him to be useful.
    Utley was sucking as a starter but his PH numbers are a solid threat.

    That's one way to take some heat off Roberts because he probably doesn't want to bench Kemp and piss him off. Have the FO step in and shoot Kemp out of a cannon over to somewhere else, no worries about his sulking.

    I was thinking LAD would perhaps take a flyer on Donaldson in free agency and make room for him the way they did for Muncy, but to get him now would be great. Maybe he's not the same guy he used to be, or maybe a change of scenery can spur him a little. Have to love what he's been able to do in the postseason.
