#Indians would not trade Carrasco this off-season if he agreed to extension, sources say. If CLE moves a starter, as it has indicated it will, choice will come down to Kluber (3 years control) or Bauer (2). Bauer has said he will not sign extension, preferring to go year-to-year.

As they are talking about this on MLB Network, Jon Heyman pushes Bellinger being the headliner (his opinion), we all know that's obscene.

    - Sounds like the Indians and Nats are close to a deal for Yan Gomes. Options at catcher are getting thin, though the Jays and Pirates could be helping things shortly.

    - One thing I don’t like about the Dodgers/Indians trade talk is that a lot of times when this stuff goes public so early in the process, it is that someone is likely leaking this to get more teams interested. The leaking team probably does not like what the other team is offering so they’re throwing names out there so teams think, “hey, I could beat that” and come back to the table. I am starting to think that it may be a long shot that a deal gets done for Kluber, but I could definitely be wrong. Would fucking HATE if the deal is for Bauer.

You’re right, it’s frustrating to hear a weeks worth of unsubstantiated rumors only to see the Gomes trade happen in a split second with no warning. And I would HATE to root for Bauer he’s a little douchebag

Like I said earlier in the week. Teams are reportedly getting wary of the prospects we are willing to trade. Could make for a rough offseason or two.

Bauer is a total piece of shit. I have a hard time seeing a FO that has tried to get rid of these clubhouse problem guys, bring in a dude like Bauer.

Read an article in mlb trade rumors that Greinke blocked us the mighty mighty Doyers from acquiring him. Lol:laff:

A lot of times, the big money guys will block the large market teams that tend to be the only ones that can take on their salary if traded. It’s done for leverage most of the time as they will say “add on another year”, “I want a bonus now”, “drop my club option”, etc... It’s also why guys with a yearly pick’em always tend to have the best teams on their NTC. They don’t usually have anything personal against those clubs, they just want to be able to get more out of getting dealt.

With that said, wonder if Votto would accept a move to get his final year guaranteed
