Yeah, I was just making a joke since he said the closest team to Vegas. The difference in distance to the stadiums is only a couple of miles with Angel Stadium being the closer of the two and Chase being a close third.

Verdugo can't catch a break. But I guess at least he'll have some young talent around him

Morosi saying that Yankees and Brewers are kicking around too on Kluber, but the OF prospects that he mentions are a couple of years away and not regarded as the same caliber of player as Verdugo at present. Verdugo has completed AAA twice now and is 2 years younger than the Brewers Corey Ray who was in AA and 5 only months older than the Yankees Florial who just did half a season in A+. The Padres are said to be trying VERY hard to land Kluber, but they also are in the "years away" boat in terms of interesting OF prospects. Stars may be aligning for the Dodgers here as it is rumored that a couple of the FA pitchers are also closing in on deals.

Pollock is a joke waiting to happen
Damn, I don't like how the Brewers are in the mix for Kluber. They struck out last offseason and might be very focused this time

After all this talk of Kluber and how we match up perfectly with their needs, I will be extremely disappointed if we do not land him.

    And Harper

Most would say they were one of the big winners, getting the MVP and Lorenzo Cain.

Of course I meant pitching wise, as they were on the hunt all year long and eventually lost out for everybody. Even the Pirates came out of nowhere and grabbed Archer over them. They could be very motivated to land Kluber

Honestly, as a young player I'd much rather be on a team where I had a full-time starting role. I'd be rooting for a trade if I were him.

If I were him, and I'm watching all these OFs flail and strike out in the postseason, I wanna know why I can't have a full time starting role in the org I'm already playing in. That's first. Then ultimately, yeah, accept the trade and move on and play in shitty Cleveland

    • The Tigers have struck a deal with free agent righty Tyson Ross, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (Twitter link). It’s a $5.75MM guarantee over a single season, per the report.

All the more reason to get out of here. He could play his ass off here and still wind up in a platoon for shits and giggles.

Yeah, Pollock is gonna get massively overpaid, can feel it. Makes no sense why we are said to be kicking the tires on him. Only thing I could see is the Dodgers are once again doing a favor for an agent.
As for the Brewers, they have traded away a ton of their depth in the last 12 months, plus had a bit of a down year performance wise from the guys that they'd probably prefer to move. Ray had a decent year, but struck out a ton at AA in his age 23 season. That should probably be a red flag to other teams in this new environment where folks are predicting a trend towards more contact. The only thing that could put us behind them is if they do something like offer Domingo Santana + Corey Ray and a pitcher like Woodruff or Burnes as that is a couple of cheap MLB ready guys(including a pitcher the Indians are said to like) + a big upside MiLB guy.

Yeah he mashed but its too small of a sample size. You and I both know most teams will not give up a ton to trade for a guy like that and MGT would be stupid to sell at such a low price. Right now his highest value is staying on the team and hoping he is more JT than CT.

Eh, usually when you're platooned by the Dodgers, you've earned it or you haven't proven yourself yet. Verdugo had a hell of a year against lefties, so I'd wager his confidence in playing everyday is fine. The team's confidence?

He's often injured. That's all the sense we need.

They could be motivated to do such. They are pretty much all in. And truth be told, Kluber just looks like a Milwaukee Brewer to me for some reason. I don't appreciate their presence in the matter of Kluber. Yankees either. Dodgers are the team with the most chips, but we've been that before.

Me too. Normally i would want to send his ass out and get as much as we can in return no matter, but MGT seems to have some luck with reclamation bat projects. Turner, then Taylor, now Muncy. Ya might even be able to put Kemp in the category. I want to know who the 2019 reclamation guys is?!?!?!
