    Not really. I've tried all the Mexicans available to me (Corona, Dos Equis, Del Sol, Pacifico, Tecate, Modelo, maybe a couple more I can't think of) and honestly there's not a dime's worth of difference between them.

    I've never had Choppers Red, but I find that reds tend to have the best balance. Enjoyable for the whole spectrum of beer drinkers. Is Choppers a local thing? Here we have Karl Strauss Red Trolley, which I'm a fan of.

    If I'm at a restaurant or bar, first rule of thumb is to find out what's on tap. If something is locally brewed it gets higher consideration. If there's something I haven't tried before, bonus points. Tap is always better than bottle, and beer has a way of rewarding you for staying adventurous.

    At home I'm more of a bomber guy, and I try to mix it up. My wife likes Modelo, so I drink one now and then because they are around - but it's not something I'd pick out on my own. I agree with Codge, not really a huge difference among any of the Mexican beers.

    My favorite beer FWIW: Lagunitas IPA.

    It is local. Georgetown brewery is home of Choppers red. I don't drink much beer but when I do its a red. Unless I'm camping, then its something light.

    A good one to be sure. I prefer their seasonals like Brown Shugga and Lagunitas Sucks. Of beers I can easily find around here I like the aforementioned (Michigan)Founders Centennial IPA and (North Carolina) Foothills Breweries Hoppyum.

    Unless it's a soda from Mexico no beverage should be in a clear glass bottle. Corona is a skunky ass beer.....period.
