I work in the alcohol industry and the turn over is pretty regular.

The 'turn over'. I get it.

Sounds like a bad doctor, but it could just be something difficult to figure out. I never had any indigestion until I hit 30, then I would get it now and then but not enough to seek treatment. I've switched to a more vegan diet over the past few years and it's basically gone, although I do still get a little if I eat really greasy foods like cheesy pizza or fried chicken. I'd do a little research into antacids and see which ones have different active ingredients - try the different types to see how it affects you (no doctor needed). Be careful a little as antacids will reduce acid and can cause digestion problems if you take them all the time. There's a good chance it's related to your diet - too much of something (or not enough of something?) Try taking things out of your diet one at a time for one week at a time. Is there anything else associated with it? Pain?

If you don't drink alcohol, maybe your body is telling you to start?

If there's no GERD, or acid reflux then his doc is probaby right...he's sucking too much air. Honestly, if it's just gas and there's no pain, regurg, or aroma issues, then wgaf? I suffer from acid reflux and have had my esophogus stretched 5 times due to scar tissue forming a ledge that food gets "hung" on, resulting in a 'choking' condition (I can still breathe) that has sent me to the ER a couple of times. Burping or farting are minor drawbacks, imo.

Napolitano: Hillary facing catastrophe whether she is indicted or not
by Debra Heine | PJ Media — 6 hours ago

A number of conservative politicos have predicted that scores of FBI agents could revolt if their investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server finds overwhelming evidence of criminal wrongdoing and the Justice Department refuses to indict her. According to their theories, not only could there be mass resignations, including that FBI Director James Comey, but there could also be major leaks of unauthorized FBI investigative materials to the public.

On Friday morning, a powerful sitting senator also suggested that the FBI may leak reports of its investigation if the agency believes prosecution of Clinton was thwarted for political reasons.

During a breakfast meeting with the Des Moines A.M. Rotary club, U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said, "If there’s political interference, then I assume that somebody in the FBI is going to leak these reports and it’s either going to have an effect politically or it’s going to lead to prosecution if there’s enough evidence.” Grassley went on to acknowledge that it would be a crime to release such investigative materials. “I wouldn’t be encouraging it because if it’s a violation of law, I can’t be encouraging a violation of law,” he said. “This is kind of my own opinion, this is something I’ve heard.”

On Monday morning, Fox News' Judge Andrew Napolitano told Maria Bartiromo that while it was "highly unusual" for a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee to anticipate such an FBI leak, he agreed with Grassley's take.

"He would not be surprised if FBI agents who truly believe that there is enough evidence to indict Mrs. Clinton and to convict her on both the email charge and the public corruption charge, will feel frustrated and stymied by the political people in the Justice Department and will want the public to know what they know," he said. "If that class of people -- it would be more than one person -- leaks information to the press, I agree with Senator Grassley, if there is a leak, and if what is leaked is credible... the president could have a Saturday night massacre/Watergate-style disaster on his hands in the last six months of his presidency."

This would not just spell trouble for the Clinton campaign, but for the entire Democratic Party as the party faithful fumble around trying to defend their "crooked" nominee.

"I don't know what Grassley knows, but I do know that it is generally known in Washington that the same team of FBI agents who investigated and led to the prosecution of General Petraeus, is investigating Mrs. Clinton. And many on that team believe that General Petraeus got a slap on the wrist, and because the evidence in Mrs. Clinton's case is exponentially greater, they do not want to see this happen again," Napolitano said.

As for Comey's timetable for wrapping up the investigation, Napolitano said that "no one knows what his deadline is. Last October, he led us to believe January. In January, he led us to believe May." The Fox Business panel agreed that it was unfair to the American people for this investigation to drag on and on with no deadline.

"We do know that they're nearing the end of their investigation," Napolitano said. "And we know it because they have called in her five closest aides....And the last step in this investigation will be to invite Mrs. Clinton in. She says she can't wait to talk to them -- probably not true. Nobody being investigated by the FBI can't wait to talk to them!"

Judge Napolitano argued that Clinton is in a lose/lose situation on this front. She can go in and speak to the FBI, which is "the politically safe thing to do" but also "legally treacherous for her." If she doesn't go in, she incriminates herself by not cooperating with the investigation.

Hillary Clinton continues to maintain that she is not under criminal investigation, characterizing the FBI probe as just one of many "security reviews" that are being conducted.

But Napolitano said on Fox News' America's Newsroom Monday that "this is about as serious an investigation as there could be.... The FBI does not do security assessments, the State Department does. The FBI does criminal investigations."

He said on Friday that he believes the FBI has more than enough evidence to indict and convict Clinton.

“The evidence of her guilt is overwhelming,” Judge Napolitano stated. “And the FBI knows a lot more about it than I do.” He said he is “100-percent certain” that the FBI has enough evidence to indict and convict.

Whether she is indicted or not, Hillary faces a catastrophe, Napolitano says. "Probably so catastrophic that she will be replaced on the Democratic ticket."

"I didn't know until tonight, that it was Barzini"
This weekend, and saw "On the Waterfront" on the big screen again. It was filmed where I grew up, although nothing is still there any more like it was then.
Still a blast to see it on the big screen, and say the classic lines in your head as they were spoken on screen.
Surprised to see so many young people in the audience.
    Brando is Brando.

Yeah, I've noticed I develop heartburn when I eat very greasy foods, but otherwise it's generally just burping a lot throughout the day. I only tried proton pump inhibitors last time, and I haven't tried the Zantac variant. Might be worth a shot just to see if anything changes.

I wouldn't say I have pain associated with it. It's more just discomfort throughout the day.

That's a fair point. Like I said above, it's definitely not very comfortable, but I can live with it if need be. I ended up scheduling an appt with a new doctor (soonest he could fit me in was in a little over a month). I figured it couldn't hurt.

I admittedly don't. I walk to and from work which is ~2 miles round trip. I used to lift weights, but have gotten lazy about it since I started working. I didn't really notice much of a difference when I lifted weights ~6 times a week for ~1hr over the summer though.

Ok, that's the first mention I've seen you make about heartburn, and the greasy foods thing is all part of that. Fried foods are the worst. Since you mentioned the heartburn I would def consider the second opinion. Gas is an inconvienence, heartburn (the acid reflux kind) is stomach acid eroding the lining in your esophagus, and that's a bad thing. You may never get to the stage I'm at but if you can prevent it now it will save you a lot of distress later.

Yeah, the heartburn really only comes if I've eaten greasy chicken wings / pizza or the like. Otherwise, it's just the discomfort throughout the day. I think I'll generally stay away from the fried foods from now on (though it's admittedly hard!). Thanks for the input!

Yeah, trying different types of meds is always worth it. I don't have heartburn problems, but I've had allergy problems and some OTC drugs help a bunch and some don't at all. I'd be surprised if you need anything prescription strength at your age.

codge is right about the acid reflux and i have taken prilosec for years
you don't need a prescription for that and certain types of food definitely set it off
our digestive system is basically an anus on either end and the burn you feel is your digestive acids being allowed to come back up

Its all the same from your mouth to your anus.
Shaw should get on a magnesium supplement too. It helps.
Buy bags of flax seed and boil the flax it turns into a thick gel with some scrapy bits.
Drink that gel water a few times a week. Its a good filling hot beverage in the morning or nice befor bed in the winter. Easy amd cheap way to help keep a soothed belly.
Bitter melon is also a good supplement if yoi dont want to buy iy at the asian market and cook it.
Will stave off diabetes and ease your gas.
Get some high grade peppermint essential oil and drink afew drops in the morn or night. Its great for helping you dissipate colics.
Gas pains and discomfort is what all babies get when their gi is too weak to digest food.
Jews have a history of weak gi for example.
Ive had gi issues since birth and speak from experimentation.
An ounce of natural prevention is worth a pound of synthetic cure.

    Update:

I am in a better place emotionally right now. I still have some bad days but they are less frequent and not as devastating because I can handle them a bit better right now.
Not too in depth of an update but I feel like that is the important bit. lol

To everyone who reached out to me through the public boards and pm's, I am so thankful for everything but especially your support. You guys helped me out so much just by being here and showing sincere concern for my well being. That is a feeling that I have struggled with for most of my life but from some reason your guys' concern at that moment reached me.

I just want to say thank you and I am doing much better.
