So. is the cliffs notes version of this conversation that BM thinks passive/cap gains income should be taxed on a graduated scale, while I think that earned income should be taxed on a flat scale?

Another thing about passive income, it's not as simple as it sounds to evade the regular income scale with it. I receive income from a variety of sources (some salary, some "passive" as BM defines them) and there are a bunch of rules associated with how you receive assets and how you hold them in order to not pay regular income tax. The rules force you to hold assets, decreasing their value (NPV is lower since you can't use it until the future) and subjecting you to risk (since these types of assets tend to fluctuate).

Oh, but I'm sure it was really just a spontaneous protest because of some controversial film.

not to mention that bill comes due when the asset is sold or you are rung up
or you can elect to further leverage yourself to temporarily stave off the taxes but it comes due
and they hit you again when you die

Cash is not a good asset.
    Seeds are.
    Tomato stocks mature quickly.
    Pay off delicious dividends.
And you dont need a whole lot of seed money to start.

We grow tomatoes, blueberries, jalapenos, avocados, lemons, limes, and oranges at home.
And for all the time, effort, and cost it takes to grow them, keeps the bugs/weeds off them and generally keep them happy and producing, it would be much cheaper just to get stuff from the store.
But we do it because it's fun.

I dont do anything to them and they grow like crazy from just a few seeds.
Then again i dont grow stuff like im supposed to or follow the instructions.
They tell you to remove rocks from a field before you grow stuff. And to space everything out so they have room to grow and get sun.
I bunch them up. No space for weeds to grow. Ground cover gets little sun for the weeds to even sprout. Which is also good for keeping the ground moist since the sun doesnt hit it hard.
Rocks are the mineral lifeblood of my crops.
The only reason to remove rocks is because of machine harvesting/plowing. Which people growing in their gardens dont do, yet they still remove rocks.
I actually place rocks under my plants in a pattern and a huge round rock under the seedling so the roots wrap around the rock and leech minerals and moisture that gets trapped inside the rock everytime it gets watered. That and the water creates piezoionic electrical current through the rocks that super charges growth and mineral power of the plant.
I dont take care of them at all and they are strong.
I grow green onions, leeks, and garlic all around my tomato. That helps with a lot of critters who dont like the smell.
If i had issues i would just throw a few banana peels, some egg shells, and coffee grounds to have most all key nutritional deficiencies covered.
But the dirt is good over here with all the limestone and mineral rich clay.
And my water tank gets algae growing on it that help balance out the life killing chlorination in the water.
But if i had problems in that regard and wanted to get rid of all pests then a few crawfish in the water tank would do it.
My last bit tomato harvest was done by creating a big hole under the ground and lining it with large flat stones and fronds from palm and banana type trees.
Then filling it with water to create a sort of semi permanent reservoir under the soil.
That thing grew massive. There was at least my body weight in tomato from that one plant.

    i can't grow shit
my mom grew up on a farm and my brother inherited her green thumb
but every time i try it dies
a woman gave me a cactus plant for my birthday
she said it was strong and virtually impossible to kill
10 months later it's on life support
i did research on how to care for the plant and have followed the instructions religiously
    no use
funny too because i could grow weed back in the day lol

I collect succulents...have for years. I can almost guarantee, you are ovetwatering it. Leave it alone with the water...it will use the oxygen within the plant matrix.
Probably, you 're drowning it. if it has started to rot, it's over, Johnny....

Oh, I forgot to mention the birds. Those assholes always try to eat the blueberries. I've used netting in the past, but maybe I'll switch to pellet gun this year.

i love my .177 for eradication even though i don't grow vegetables or fruit much
the fucking crows are a perpetual noisy nuisance and eat the young of all the other birds
i have red tail hawks cruising around picking off rodents and the crows are out
the little birds on the property practically land on my shoulders esp after a kill

If it's at that stage, time to play plant taps bro.
You could try to cut out the rot area out below the rot area, then protect it with plant paste.
But it's mostly a long shot, at best.

so a terrorist (i know we can't be sure 100%) drives a truck into a crowd of christmas shoppers in berlin and manages to escape...
    but there were eyewitnesses...
how the fuck does that happen?
if you witness something like that isn't the sole focus of your immediate action to pursue and subdue this pos?
i think the euros have become fantastic spineless victims and no men exist over there anymore
no reports of a gun he just ran away

The cliff notes version is that I think they should be taxed the same. I do support a graduated scale over a flat scale, but the scale itself is not something I am super passionate about - I don't have a huge problem with a flat scale. Trump acknowledged during his campaign there are certain holes in the tax code that can be exploited, and he said is that he would work on closing these holes. As far as I can tell, the reduced tax plan being discussed did not address any of those issues. Not that he has to solve everything before even being in office, but I find the main points of the proposed change disappointing and somewhat self-serving.

I'm not sure Americans would be any different.
Most of them would whip out their phones, take a video and put it on instagram as the assailant wanders away.

Looks like the JV is planning on bitch smacking the world pretty much these days.
Wonder if Angela is second guessing the " let's let in 90,000 refugees" policy she went with?

Berlin I can see. If it happened in Munich, then they'd be firing up the gas chambers.

So is it me, or does Europe look a lot like it did in the early 20th century.

Losers assassinating people in the southeast
Crappy economies and resentment of ethnic groups leading to the rise of the far right and fascism.
Authoritarian empire rising from the ashes and taking back old possessions one at a time...
While pussy leaders of the other powers preach appeasement.
