Well, it did go to seven. At least that is exciting and traditional BB in itself. But IMO, it has sucked pretty hard as an exciting WS overall...four blowouts and just one tight game? No to so good really; the NL/ALCS everywhere was way better than this shit. Still, glad to see The Giant rookie pitcher give up another HR, good to see the great Petit get rocked, great to see Peavy leave in less than two, great to see the Giants lose. The best thing was the "God Bless America" servicebabe, who was not only very cute, but had a really strong and awesome voice. I did cringe however, when I heard (I might have been Reynolds; not sure) say that "Selig will retire as the greatest BB Commissioner of all time". Wow...not in my world. If I'm an owner, I love the guy, for sure. Everything he did put more money in their pocket...and why not, they pay him. But the PEDs that he looked away and stuck his douchebag head in the sand while the steroid scandals were raging, does not rank him "greatest" in my book. He'll leave office still thinking barry Bonds is the all time HR leader. Took a govt. lead investigation to inally make him move his owner licking ass to do anything....and now, after years of abuse and can't be believed records in the books, he gets kudos on what eventually happened. It's bad enough we have to deal with the DH dilution of the game, but now, WC II, ASGs where the home team advantage goes to the league who wins, once again discounting what a team does in 162 games to earn it reeks of desperation.
