i'd be truly impressed if selig did something problem is he doesn't have the balls of stern no way he vetoes this trade baseball reasons... Jays-Marlins mega-deal under review Updated: November 15, 2012, 2:56 PM ET Associated Press ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig says he is examining the pending blockbuster trade between the Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays and is aware of the fan anger in South Florida. Speaking at the conclusion of the owners' meetings, Selig said Thursday the trade hasn't officially been presented to him. But he said the matter is under review and he talked to two independent baseball people who feel the Marlins did well in the proposed swap. Miami has agreed to send All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes and pitchers Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson to Toronto for a group of the Blue Jays' top prospects. The trade is pending physicals, but many Marlins fans are upset with the deal since the team just moved into a new publicly financed ballpark.
Stern doesn't have balls, he has is a fat vagina that is more money hungry than any other commish and could give a fuck about anything but money. Fuck Stern. Selig shouldn't stop the trade, he should fine the fuck out of the Marlins.... Blue Jays didn't do anything wrong, they shouldn't get penalized. Just the Lakers didn't and got penalized. Tell me, what does NO have left for CP3 trade now? Wouldn't they have been better with the Lakers' trade? Does that seem like Stern gave a fuck, no. Fuck Stern. Anyways, my point is nothing should happen with this trade to damage or take away from the Blue Jays. Penalize the Marlins' owner DIRECTLY. Install a floor/minimum for salaries to ensure that greedy fuck owners like them cannot do this.
I agree, there needs to be a salary floor. The league has revenue sharing and there are a number of teams that sit back, do the minimum and take advantage. The Marlins are a unique case all their own, and I believe this has now happened under different ownership! I don't care about the trade, it might even be fair - it's the fact that this team doesn't deserve to have a single fan ever again. FGFYC
It will be atrocious if Selig doesn't allow this trade to go through. Agree with mouse on the salary floor idea.
This is actually turning funnier that calling IBB a manwhore... Anyway, we talked about the payroll minimum before, but that could push for a maximum too and they wont approve it... This whole trade sucks, but its all fair and legal... The only problem is the snowball effect as next year's games will be empty and the Marlins wont have any credibility until they get new owners...
I was actually talking to some buddies about this the other day. I really wouldn't be surprised if Selig pulled a Stern on this deal. I don't think he should, but I can't say I would be surprised.
Well using this logic, there is way to ensure that one has success every 5/10 years. For three years, you buy up every premier free agent. The fourth year, win lose or draw, you sell them off for prospects. NOT TO THE SAME TEAM. Get 3 or 4 for one. You could literally stock an entire roster with studs if done correctly. Instant dynasty should they all stick.
If you're going to do something, investigate and get Loria out of Miami. Seriously, what happens if the Jays have to send the players back? They'll be gone anyway, only Loria will be smarter and trade them at different times. The trade shouldn't be overturned, but Loria needs to be shoved out of baseball. Him and McCunt can buttfuck each other over Loria's art in one of McCunt's homes.
Gotta suck for those guys. On one hand, the jays still aren't good enough to compete in the al east (debatable) Taxes... No state income in Florida, heavy taxes in Canada. These guys all just screwed financially (not debatable)
He is "reviewing" this, but the highest recorded illegal substance ever recorded within Ryan Braun's piss test is a no-brainer "fuggedaboudit" foregone conclusion. Brewers Rule! I hate this fucking hunchback cretin.
