You shouldn't even be in that situation though if you take a 2-0 series lead. Couldn't beat Vogelsong or Zito. They did this to themselves.

Looking at the replay, that was a generous strike 3 call to Hanigan.

The Reds have the same problem we had. Their best hitter (Votto/Kemp)in the meat of the order can't hit for power due to injury yet the manager keeps him in his spot essentially killing any rallys developing in the top of the lineup.

Bochy is badass. I'd trade him for Don in a minute.

I know we hate the Cardinals here, but if they win against the Nats, I hope they squash the gnats. My hatred for them is too deep to root against the Cardinals in any capacity.

    I don't hate the cards
    but even if I did
I'd still root for them against the gnats

It is shaping up to be a worse case scenario for my enjoyment of the playoffs. Cards/Gnants in the NLCS and Yankees in the ALCS, then a potential Gnats/Yanks or Cards/Yanks!!!!! The lockout in the NHL and the lack of the Lakers on TV 82 games (no Time Warner) just puts icing on my sad sports cake. :smh::banghead:

Neither do I. But the feeling around here is that they can die in a hole.

Correct call. I hate that it favored the Cards, but it is about time that play is called correctly. I'd also like to see an automatic out enforced when runners slide into the fielder 10 feet to the left or right of the bag.

I mean the runner at 1st should be out if the runner going to second "breaks up" a DP without making an attempt to the bag. Runners can't just veer off 8 feet to the right and take the 2Bman out.
