Then you're not alone in being weird. Makes me proud to be a life long Dodger fan; this looks well done and awesome. This is why the Dodgers are the most important team ever in baseball....and Jackie is without a doubt, the "greatest BB player" ever. No individual feat of any player can even come near what Jackie/Rickey did.
Baseball isn't as cool as it used to be. It's not a mistake they're using hip hop and a lot of Brooklyn vibes to grab the younger audience. Not a race thing. It's a generational thing.
Movie looks really fucking good. I will go see that flick decked out in dodger gear. And that jay-z song is perfect for this movie. Just sayin....
I think I'm a pretty good sport with you MZA. You constantly embellish everything I say. Which is fine on occasion, and i usually play along or ignore it, but it's really a one way street.
Dizzy Gillespie would have been most appropriate for that time frame. Anyway, according to imdb, the film is due out April 12, 2013. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453562/
One of my favorite moments the past few years regarding Jackie was when Rachel was a guest on an ESPN Dodgers telecast with Joe Morgan and Jon Miller. During the broadcast, she repeatedly rooted for the Dodgers with, at one point, Morgan trying to admonish her stating that they "tried to be unbiased". I have no idea what was said in his ear or what look he was given but he quickly changed it to "but I guess it's alright". Jackie would have thought Joe a punk bitch.
