The shot at the end with Reese putting his arm over jackie makes it for me.

I'm so fucking excited for this movie. I've watched the trailer 5 times already and called 3 different people.

I'm sure the movie is going to be amazing, unless the current dodgers had anything to do with the film then it might just be good because they'd try to ruin it.

Hopefully it comes out on April 3rd so I can be a happy Dodgers fan on my BDay. lmfao

It will be nothing for me, I've been waiting for GTAV for 5 and a half years now. April 2013 will seem like nothing.

Even harder to believe they gave us a trailer leading us to believe the game would come out soon then they leave us on a 1 year no info drought.

Yeah, the music is shit IMO. How about something from the era...not some modern rap horsehit just because he's black.

The music was more of a scenery thing. Brooklyn, Jay-Z's hometown; combining the old era with the new era. I'm not hating. It was dope!

oh I get it...stupid me. Jay-Z and Jackie were both from Brooklyn...oh wait no they weren't, wait they had a Brooklyn connection...oh I see. ;)
They are both black too and the studio will want all the blacks to see it...so I hope that's not the reason to throw rap into a era pieced type of film. Redtails worked without a rap soundtrack, I'd think this would do fine without it.
It just seems so out of place for a movie like this IMO. Just to be clear, I'm not saying that because I'm not into rap, I think any modern sounding music sounds out of place. I want to feel like I'm in another time, the music instantly snaps me out of it.

    Good example.
Well there was a movie called A Knight's Tale with Heath Ledger in it awhile back. I'm a huge fan of those types of movies and the whole soundtrack was modern music, most of it was shit I loved but I hated that movie because of it. It just doesn't fit. It's be like Braveheart with Judas Priest playing in the backround.

I want to travel back in time with the sound of that time.

You're over-thinking it. The movie takes place in Brooklyn. The words "Brooklyn Dodgers", "Jackie Robinson", etc are words in the song. This isn't the 70's and 80's anymore; most movies have songs like this in their trailer. Whether you, us, them, he, she, likes it this music has taken over the music industry.

But ultimately, I think it depends on your age, where you come from, and your music preference.
