    It gets to the point where you cannot accept it. That doesn't mean platoon him, or get rid of him. It means he needs to work his ass off to get better. Hire a specialist, a hypnotist, whatever it takes to get better against lefties. It is one thing to be bad. It is another to be an automatic out.

    I love Ethier, his attitude is great, and he's played the hero role for us many times in the past, but his struggles vs leftys has been painful to watch for years...it's almost an ATM out

    Ethier has a .755 OPS against left handed starters, But a .659 vs all lefties.

    .755 isn't amazing but it's far from pathetic. What this shows is that it's basically lefty relievers who shut him down and these LOOGYs shut down a lot of lefties. I'm not saying he's good against lefties but just showing its LOOGYs who really shut him down and really that's there job but he stil has a .755 OPS against lefty starters
