    Or you could read people.
Like i am reading that what you are posting right now is not true.
And that your comment about "should i just apply that label to everything you post" is a barb.
Ill say its a barb in jest...
You do know when i joke most of the time. Just like i know when you joke. We been here long enough.
Sometimes you may not read me right and thats ok. I sometimes dont read you right either.
Happens to all of us. No need to throw barbs around.
    Specially not over AJ Ellis.

You have to put a "z" after it, then it is rendered to the " don't mention it, ever"... or, " it's totally OK with us" category.
    PEDz.
Cheating doesn't matter...only if you get caught. ;)

Imagine if that was on the mind of the FO guys?
Maybe the reason Puig is out is because there is no other player that can relate to him on a cultural level that is also a mentor.
I doubt Kenley Jansen is much of a mentor. The dude trembled like a leaf at the idea of Chapman coming in to the bullpen.
Ruiz is a stud on all fronts and known to be one of the finest MEN in baseball. And he shares cultural points with Puig.
I dislike forcing diversity anywhere for its own sake, but diversity on this team is a welcome sight because it has become a little bit like Jeff Kents wet dream at Chavez Ravine.

His wet dream appears to be working. Seager, Turner, Utley, Howie, etc are the kinda guys you need.

Kent was a hell of a ballplayer and a leader by example. Bonds and Bradley were pricks and he didn't back down. Kemp was a bkitch when he was younger (and reverted back, apparently) and Kent didn't like it. And it ain't because they were black, if that's what you're getting at.

Hardly. He was a key element of the team as we had ZERO other backups to Grandal and he couldn't be relied upon for ANYTHING.

Thus he was a HUGE scab which needed gone in a big way... though perhaps not in the middle of the damned vaGiants series.

    Terrible "D"
    Even more Terrible "O"
    Old.
    Slow.

Nothing going for him BUT his clubhouse presence. With his shitty stats he'd better be giving BJ's in the clubhouse.

All of which equals zilch in the scorebook. Nada.

    Running low on tissues here...

Why doesn't Kenta need a mentor? Ryu? Grandal? Kenley?

Puig doesn't need anyone to mentor him. He's a grown ass man who should just work hard and get better if he wants to be a big leaguer.

Its not a marginal upgrade at all.
Ruiz is a significantly better hitter.
Better defender and all around catcher. Way better than our current starter.
And a guy who you dont have to groan whenever he comes up to bat.
You can have whatever opinion you like, nobody is telling you otherwise nor chastising you about it.
I said you are wrong and even put in that you are usually wrong not in your opinion but in that your opinion is based on something that isnt concrete isnt fact and like most things based on shaky ground it will change soon enough.
You will be loving this trade very soon. Your opinion is based on shock and awe which is sentiment. Its 'feel'.
You feel shocked. That is sentimentality.
And you are letting your shock be the base to your opinion over what you really know to be true (the fact that you are usually against chemistry/human element arguments).
Im not saying 'your opinion is wrong'. Im saying that i know how to read you as a poster here on DSP. And you tend to have very contrasting opinions from moment to moment based on rash feelings.
In hindsight i can understand how you may have taken my post in an insulting manner being that I should have taken into account that you react to things in a 'feelz' kind of way. It was not meant to say you are dumb and therefore always wrong. But that you are prone to make rash opinions that you then change sooner or later.
So in the end they arent really opinions because you havent really formed them. And no one is saying not to post your random rash thoughts. Its great. Just that we know that in a few moments you will post the opposite of what you just posted.
Like maybe after the first game Ruiz comes up big :D

Yeah, 1st place and playing fundamental baseball even though setting records at placing players on the DL and having the most raggedy starting rotation I have ever seen in Dodger Blue. White is still a problem for some of you YET Whites are called the racists. Love how you defend the hell out of Puig yet practically cum on the keyboard for the AJ trade. That sure seems racially motivated. I mean, I like the trade, it makes sense but how can you seem so happy about it? AJ is a huge part of the fabric of this team, not just another White player that was struggling.
Kershaw , Turner, and Seager are ruining things. Team really needs Puig back.

I hope I'm misreading your intentions, bevcause they make me a little sad.

I think he's got more to give us than AJ, but damn, is he Divine, like Jesus?
I just didn't know...and here I hated the mf for killing us.

Accurately stated (this time) by a guy who routinely issues random rash thoughts.

Having a mind open to alternate viewpoints is a significant hallmark of intelligence. I'd rather learn ThinkBlue's 'rash thought of the moment' than listen to another half baked but fully formed and completely unassailable nitwit opinion from certain others.

For that matter I'm sure I'm not alone in enjoying most of Rube's somewhat outlandish 'random rash thoughts' too.

At this point, I don't care anymore. What's done is done. I just want Ruiz to produce. Can't suddenly get into a losing streak. Gotta to win this series against the Cubs, cause the Braves will not be doing us a lot of favors.

Funny how that works right? But since you mentioned that, you are now racist. Just to add to it, did Seager have a chance without Utley on the team? I wonder if Howie could've mentored him. AGon failed Puig too.
I think Puig mentored Ryu lmao.

Aw fer chrissakes Fordie, AJ has not contributed to the Dodgers at an MLB 'competent' level in years. Years.

Recognizing that open fact does not make anyone a racist, he NEEDED to go... long ago.

Now there's plenty of other things to observe but AJ's departure will soon enough not be one of them

HOLY CRAP.....how did the AJ Ellis trade turn into a Racist discussion?!?!?!?!!

This trade makes 99% sense.....on paper, statistically, even culture it fits.....even under a mentorship to ALL the younger players. The 1% it does not makes sense is with Kershaw's psyche. Yeah if he is a mental midget, then we don't want him and can trade him in the offseason, but for the NOW, the team that is somehow managed to be 2 games in first from 7 games back a month ago with SP that are going an average of 3 innings a start.......yeah anything that upsets the apple cart is going to be an issue. Why fix what was not broken??

At this point, all we can do is hope that Kershaw is a pro and because of this elevates his game to the next level......if there is even such. But MGT's decision to pull this trigger may have not been the best idea....only time will tell.

Team was practically no hit by a pitcher at home that is just seemingly an OK pitcher. This trade probably had a lot to do with that. I was at the game, you could feel it in the air. The stadium was so quiet early on even against the Giants. Never ever seen it like that before.

The trade is a good one on paper and more than likely in reality too, but I see some damage to the clubhouse/team and even the fan base. I find it hard to feel happy about it at the moment.
