Always intensely disliked this mofo...did the article even mention who told him "you're not coming back"??...the SF FO? MLB ? Jeff Kent? The commish?
Must have been some omnipotent individual, considering the runaway ego factor he has, to just meekly obey with nary a hint of protest...in all probability, it must have been the King of Baseball.

Re: Bonds - Had to be a little old fashioned collusion (read: blackballing) between the owners and the commish going on back in '08....

We should list the things we are nervous about, as individuals.
    I have very little faith/nervous about :
    * Baez (these days)
    * The acquisition of the two LH was a mistep, since we have guys easily their equal already, and since imo, they are meh as shit, and have already showed us.
    * Grandal is capable of a unbelievably important PB in any game, at any time.
    * Dave could go from MOY to raving lunatic micromanagingman...
    * Corey throws one away at the worst time possible...

It's crazy how one game can scare us back to reality.

    Baseball is a cruel game.

I think that is the thing I am most nervous about....1 game. In 1 game, anything can happen in this sport. An opponent gets a couple of bloop hits, we hit hard liners at people, and next thing you know, we are down 1 game to 0 and staring at a must win situation after all of our great regular season success. The unpredictable nature of this sport leaves me more uneasy than any player on our roster.

Yeah, thank God we're not in the wild card game. This is a great team, and I'm confident they can go far, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up because baseball is a game designed to break your heart.

    Why so nervous guys?
Dave always experiments so he knows what he has in the future.
Puts guys in tough spots to see how they fail.
Managers need all of this data in order to make good calls when it counts.
Dave has all the ability to do this thanks to the huge lead the team has built up and the plethora of options he has thanks to the GM's.

My guess, and hope, is that they're not trying to overwork Morrow because he's incredibly important to the postseason hopes and he's fragile. Also, a "try out" for Watson I guess.

especially in a [best of] 5 game series
things tend to balance out more over 7 games
    that said, i'll take kersh/yu/wood/hill...

SVS DFA'd. From 1st choice to back-up A-Gon and be an option as a specialist against lefties and now looking for work. Shows what depth we have accumulated.

Disagree with the depth reasoning...I guess some people will find that the rotation of the earth was created and planned by the FO, along with Salma Hayek's tits... But I see the SVS demise in much simpler terms...guy got injured, never made it back, and now he sucks.

You dont have to guess or hope, what they are doing is on purpose.
Like it has been since the nerds were brought on.
    Everything is on purpose.
Even the failures like Watson out there last night.
You learn theoretically from success, you learn practically from failure.

    SVS has always sucked.
Always, even if he had a few decent at bats against lefties for a couple weeks some odd years ago when the team was destitute in that dept.
