Of course you can put yourself in their place.
But this is baseball, i dont need to have empathy for anothers fandom. That would be retarded.
And since you want to bring imagination into the discussion you can make up whatever you wish and call it delusion.
If today we won the WS and moments later a time machine drops down and we are given the choice of winning 3 rings in the past x amount of years but our current win would never happen... what would you prefer?
Is the fact of knowing that we won 3 rings prior better than the reality of experiencing the fresh memories of a recent word series run?

The sex analogy is worthless. You could have done much much better.

How you get to the idea that i dont want champsionships is beyond me.
I just dont need to count rings, I love championships when they happen.
When they dont they dont. And i dont count how many rings my team has over other teams.
Nor do i feel we need to compete with the fucking giants for anything. Including championships.
I really dont care that the Giants won 3 rings some years back, even if it was recent.
They suck today, and we are good and are building to get better and better.
When we win I will be ecstatic for the win.
And every year when we make a run and it gets exciting that we have a realistic shot to advance each round and possibly win a WS i love it.
I love the feeling of hoping that we win it all this year then the feeling of whatever it is yall feel when you remember that the Giants have won more rings than us this past decade. The only thing that can rival how nice it feels when the Dodgers make a sustained run that swells hope in my chest for a WS ring is when they drop some highlights of 88. I get a little misty eyed sometimes, i wont deny.
But i feel no sadness over the giants winning in the past.
That shit already past.
Have your feelings and then shit them out and join the fun in the present.

I am not telling people that their view is wrong or that they should not have it.

I strive to live in the moment every day and take them one at a time. I strive because it does not come natural to me.

No, its because i have fucked up a lot that I can tell you where people tend to fuck up.
I am a stubborn mule and so ive had to take some extra licks.

But it is our duty as men to leave markers and pass along notes on the cave walls so when the next dude stumbles around naked and hungry he can find out where the sheep gather to drink their water. Plenty of food, drink, milk, leathers and wools to keep you happy, warm, and fat.
