    Maybe you (and many others here) don't realize how good Yasiel is and that Kemp isn't really good anymore.

    Puig was quite a bit better last year and will probably only continue to out pace him as time goes on.

    Pederson has a fair chance of producing as much if not more value than Kemp did last year. (Kemp will also probably produce more than he did last year too but point still stands)

    Offensively speaking, .296/.382/.480 with 16 Hrs and 68 RBI's is not by far better than .287/.346/.506 with 25 HR's and 89 RBI's.

    lol only offensively speaking, so you're completely ignoring how atrocious Kemp is defensively, not to mention much older?

    Puig had a lower k rate, higher BB rate, more XBH, and a higher OPS. If you factor in defense, Kemp isn't even in the same league.

    Defensive metrics say Puig is mediocre defensively. -0.2 dWAR last season. He also didn't have more XBH (Kemp had 66, Puig 62) and his OPS was only .011 points better.

    Moot point as Kemp is no longer our dog in the show. We now ride on the back of others and kemp is part of our history and another teams future

    If you want to use dWAR, Kemp's was -3.1, which happens to be the worst of all outfielders. I'd say that's not in the same league. You're right on the XBH, that was my bad. I'll still take the higher BB rate, lower K rate, age, speed, defense and contract.

    Myers is more likely to play CF than Kemp is. I still think Kemp plays RF with Smith in LF.

    I think he Giants looking real good on Shields is a bad thing, and it leaves me jealous of that arm after we went and got Anderson (who knows on this guy?) and McCarthy for lots and lots of money. And a guy named Nicasio to round it all out...
    Negative or not, I think we should be signing him for now and the future, not this scumbag dynasty team.
