So unless Uribe and Hairston are resurected from the dead, Cruz batting 5th is just fine. It's more of a testiment to how bad this team is than anything. Skip&Ethier are terrible against LH and have zero chance of a HR. Fedex just isn't a hitter Ellis is not healthy, you can see him running. He's like 0-18 lately or something. Magill can't hit, let alone pitch. So IMO, the only question mark is Uribe and Cruz. I suspect since we didn't see Uribe last night even pinch hit, he really is dead or at the very least has the shits. Hairston? Hello Hairston? Well he's been as bad as anyone lately anyways.
Skip Schumaker sucks vs. lefties, and is has a .527 OPS versus them in his career. That's more than .100 points higher than Luis Cruz is hitting versus lefties this year lmao
