i'm hoping darvish has turned a corner
honeycutt reportedly figured a way he can maintain the same arm slot and stop tipping pitches
plus there's the incentive of playing for his next contract
wood... yeah, i've always questioned his psyche/toughness

This is the only thing that makes sense. He probably only knows 8-10 players on our roster, but if you really want to follow the Dodgers you need to know the whole 40-man roster +. Nobody has Tony Cingrani or Charlie Culberson on their fantasy team, but it doesn't make us wrong to play them.

He was great against us last year, pitched a great game against the Nats but his last game he didn’t do that well.

I’m extremely intrigued as to what lineup they grow out there because it’s gotta be the right fit of defense and matchups against him. Not that simple to try and line up lefties against Kyle, IMO, cause his 2 seamer and/or changeup looks like it’d be extremely tough on lefties.

The key to the Dodgers has been taking tons of walks against starters, maybe one or two hits that deal the big blow, or wait for the bullpen to come in.

    fucken cocky bitches
but it's up to us to prove them wrong
tomorrow's game could (effectively) end the series...
go up 3-0 and the cubs will go into desperation mode
but if it's 2-1... then suddenly it's 1 game from being all even
    big game for both teams
    let's bury them!

Carl Edwards Jr. predicts Cubs will even series in Chicago
by Matthew Moreno | Dodger Blue — 2 hours ago

A rematch of last year’s National League Championship Series has swung in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers thus far, as their bullpen has outperformed that of the Chicago Cubs. What was a soft spot for the Cubs for much of the season has continued to dog them in the playoffs.

In Game 1 of the NLCS, Hector Rondon and Mike Montgomery allowed a combined three runs in 1.1 innings, which allowed the Dodgers to take a lead en route to a 5-2 win. On Sunday night, Carl Edwards Jr. bounced back from a subpar appearance to strike out three in 1.1 scoreless innings.

Pedro Strop followed with a scoreless inning of work, and Brian Duensing followed suit in the eighth and exited with a runner on and two outs in the ninth inning. John Lackey entered the game, walked Chris Taylor and surrendered a walk-off home run to Justin Turner.

While the loss put the Cubs in a 2-0 series deficit, Edwards Jr. voiced confidence the team will flip the script at Wrigley Field, via MLB.com:

“We’ll come back. We’ll be back in Chicago. I know our fans will be there and they’ll be loud and before you know it, the series will be tied.”

Similarly, Jason Heyward’s confidence is buoyed by returning home:

“Let’s go to Chicago and see what happens.”

The relief appearance in Game 2 was a first for Edwards Jr. He went 1-1 with a blown save and 23.14 ERA while pitching in all five games of the NL Division Series.

Heyward went 0-for-3 on Sunday in what was his first start of the NLCS. He was just 2-for-12 with two walks and three strikeouts in five games (four starts) during the NLDS.

Although the Cubs’ bullpen has faltered through the postseason just far, their offense has not been of much help. Chicago batters have scratched just three runs on five hits, with 21 strikeouts compared to two walks.

I think that is very, very bad for that man to make an accusation like that. That is terrible. I have never, ever, have managed, ever told a pitcher to throw at anybody, nor will I ever. And if I ever did, I certainly wouldn’t make him throw at a fucking one hundred and thirty hitter, like LaFaye, or fucking Bevacqua, who couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a fucking boat. And I guaran-fucking-tee you this, when I pitched and I was going to pitch against a fucking team that had guys on it like Bevacqua, I’d send a fucking limousine to get the cocksucker to make sure he was in the mother fucking lineup, because I’d kick that cocksucker’s ass any fucking day of the week. He’s a fucking mother fucking big mouth I’ll tell ya that.
