Maybe I'm being harsh and I think AJ deserves the love he gets but I can't get behind thinking the FO did him dirty when they had plenty of reasons to not offer him a contract for 2016 and go with better backup catcher options but did so mostly out of respect for the clubhouse and what he does. Just came a point where the on field production is too bad to hide

If Reddick was hitting worth a damn, would this trade have happened?

Kersh, can you get me off the hook for old time's sake?

    Can't do it, AJ.

Are getting a better game caller? Better hitter? Better defense? If it's just a better hitter, you'd think Reddick should have covered that.

He's hitting worse than our pitchers except Hill

AJ the player made me mad a lot, but AJ as a person has always been awesome.

    Cue Rube history rant #1492...

Irish and Spanish are about as close as two peoples can be.
Ireland natives were northern Hebrews who settled Iberia and southern Gaul among other places.
These lands became France, Spain and Portugal.
Gal being the key word as these Hebrews were commonly called Galileans.
And the southern Jews in their disgust called them Goy as they did not see them as worthy of being Jews like them. (They did not descend from Judah)
The Irish language was Goi-del and then Gael-ic.
Gael is related to Gal. As is Wal of the Welsh and Waloons.
These people are still all related to the ancient folks of Colchis in Greek legend.
This land was also called Iberia and is of the Hebrews the same as the Iberia of Spain.
Jason and the Argonauts went there to get the Golden Fleece. Which is the lambs skin the high priest would wear. Jason is one of the handful of ways the name Jesus is translated into Greek. Iesoun = Joshua = Jesus.
It is also where Prometheus the fallen angel who stole the fire from heaven (fire means light aka the lightbringer/lucifer the giver of progressive knowledge that man is not ready for) was chained to a rock of forever punishment. Heavy in the Hebraic lore here. Circe (Kirk in Irish/Church in English) is also from there. As is the story of the Amazons. This area is the Black Sea where the Viking forefathers also came from and the Amazons are the older version of the Valyries. These are big strong avenging warrior angels with long flowing hair and beautiful faces that appear to be womenlike in their beauty but are sexless.
The Colchians practiced circumcision and according to the Greeks were originally a group of Egyptian exiles.
The Irish 'gods' were the Tribe of Dan one of these 10 tribes of Hebrews who arrived there in bronze age times.
Then they were defeated by Colchians and then Spaniards all being relatives who were following the same ancient route north.
The Colchians worshipped Ares the god of War but more than just war it was the god of Winning.
Ireland gets its name from the concept of Ari which is to Shine or be at the top like the tips of a flame to be fat/rich like a land filled with resources. To be Rich, to Win, to Rise, Aristocracy are similar concepts. To have the resources and the knowledge/light to Glow and Shine is the same thing. It means Light which takes us back to Lucifer.
So no worries my Celtiberian Irish and Spanish friends you are just the spawn of Lucifer. ;)
Which is probably why Irish and Spanish are more Catholic than the Romans.

In Italian street vernacular, in NY/ NJ anyway, a chooch (sp?) is a term used to describe a person who screws up or can be taken advantage of easily...a jerkoff.

Think this is about getting a backup you can start against lefties to rest/sit Grandal or Adrian down the stretch and he's useful instead of AJ. I don't think they did this to try and boost the overall offense

Look, we're all fans of AJ the person, but this trade makes all the sense in the world. This team has seen 27 different players go on the DL this season. 27!!! What if Grandal gets hurt in September and AJ Ellis becomes our starting catcher through the postseason? That's a huge liability offensively - the type that other teams will pitch around to get to. I know he got hot in the playoffs a couple years ago, but would you be willing to bet he could do it again? Not me.

I feel a lot better with Ruiz as our contingency plan.

BTW, im half Salvie you hijo de puta!

BTW, puta just means angelically pure in the original latin.

Years into the future when Kershaw leaves this will be the reason.

Overall shocking that this happens. Pretty sad but business is business and AJs declining ability couldn't be hidden for much longer.
