    Yeah I'll miss AJ. He's a GREAT GUY. But man, he's so bad at baseball.

    These guys are grown ass men. They'll get through this. If this effects them that much emotionally and alters their effectiveness then fuck them anyways. And Ruiz makes the team better.

    Philly wanted AJ for this year and next.
    They are in rebuild more and dont plan to compete.
    But want him to help their young guys.
    He is going to be a player coach type.

    This isnt a big upgrade on paper, its a big upgrade behind the plate and in front of the plate.
    This FO is awesome... as much as I hate how Puig is being handled everything else has been spot on.
    And there may be stuff with Puig we have no idea about. He could have stared at some dudes wifes tits a little too long.

    I hope this is an opportunity for AJ, and he revels in it, as he should. Help building a team can be rewarding I think to a guy like him, and I hope it is a springboard to a further career in coaching...with us would be nice.

    Only weak FO go around telling their players what they are going to do.
    That is pretty much equal to asking their permission to do their job.
    Players cant be objective anyway.
    If Kersh says 'keep AJ' then he comes off as a me first type of player who doesnt care about helping the team improve.
    And if he gives his blessing on the trade then he risks hurting his best friends feelings.
    Good GM's understand this and just do their job.
