This, bigger than shit. Just mindbogglingly bad. Was Capuano done, too? This asshole Janish sticks his bat out and gets on? Please, DBB. Not only a bad choice to take him out then, but seriously, when you have the fastest runner on 1B in ML, isn't it good to have a LH keep him close?? I think so. BTW: Ned---- B+ on position player acquisitions (HR, SV) D- on pitcher acquisitions (Choate, Blanton, Bush League). Meh. Big meh overall.
kemp 0-4 but he didn't lose the game belisario for giving up the tying hit/run on an 0-2 count was DOTD worthy but who was it that decided to bring him -- a RH pitcher to face a LH hitter -- into the game? 'nuff said
While we disagree on his politics, I have NO issue with this. If you do not like him for whatever reason, do not eat there. This should be the case for everyone. Let me ask this--swear not being a dick. Obama has been at fundraisers with those on the left with some interesting morals... Will you be boycotting all of them?
was passively catching bits and pieces of the game trying to manage the lair. didn't cap barely make it out of the seventh? why did he send him back out there?
this is a douche. please watch the video. i have met and actually really liked the guy and defended what happened with his daughter even though i saw first hand how it destroyed her. i am now on the alec baldwin is a DOUCHE bandwagon. YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY Alec Baldwin tells Jerry Seinfeld how he tossed iced coffee on some hecklers [Exclusive video] If you ever thought about messing with Alec Baldwin, please don't; you could end up soaked in iced coffee. The "30 Rock" star tells a strangely triumphant story of revenge to Jerry Seinfeld in this "Spare Parts" outtake from Seinfeld's web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" -- and we've got an exclusive first look at it for you right here. [Video: Jerry Seinfeld Reveals His Least Favorite 'Seinfeld' Episode] Baldwin starts out asking Seinfeld what's the worst thing he's ever done that he doesn't regret. Seinfeld doesn't have an answer ("I'm still waiting for that one"), but Baldwin does: He elaborately describes a scene where he was driving in Manhattan and a cab full of young dudes pulled up alongside, with one asking him, "The f--- you looking at?" Big mistake, buddy: Baldwin says he then took the 32-ounce iced coffee he was drinking and hurled it into the cab, soaking the hecklers, and drove off feeling victorious. The funniest thing about the whole clip is that Baldwin twice describes this incident as "the greatest moment of my life." Really? This is a man who's won Emmys, starred in huge Hollywood blockbusters, had kids, met Presidents... and throwing coffee on some random punks tops all of that? All we know is, if we ever meet Baldwin, we're addressing him as "sir" and nothing else. We can't afford the dry-cleaning bill.
OK, I'm ok with Belly getting it...but the Choat should've been brought in is silly, because we all know Choate ain't any better against any handed hitter. Choate proved that when he failed to get Bourne out in is apearance. lick balls. And BTW, Kemp going 0-4 is more damaging than giving up a run. Kemp is usually goos for a couple runs at least.
Eh, had to bring Choate in. Heyward can't hit lefties compared to righties. Capuano (lefty) made Heyward look like a puss ass bitch, and Choate's job is to come in and be a lefty specialist. That was his batter to get and I guarantee Don, given a second chance, would've gone with Choate.
That's how Joe Maddon used Choate. One and done against left handed hitters and he's out of there. I know Don has to pick and chose with Elbert being out, but if you are waiting for a better situation to bring in Choate, you're gonna come up empty.
BUT...Choate has been aweful vs. lefties lately. He proved it the very next inning. Belly's the 8th inning guy. He's better than Choate. I see your point, but I see the other side also. If either pitcher does his job and gets the out(which they usually will)...this is not an issue. Belly failed, and who's to say Choate wouldn't? Choate sure the hell hasn't proven to be able to get LH hitters out the last few weeks. Choate the Marlin, is the best choice no doubt. Choate the Dodger...eh.
Well, Choate might have failed, sure. Belli has been equally as gay lately, so it was a wash with who I have more confidence in. I see what you're saying but I think it was such a blatantly poor non move. For me anyway. Randy's job was every bit as much in play there as Belli's. Just disagree I guess
Well, I know if Choate was brought in and he failed...AGAIN, we would've jumped on that move. The contrast between the confidence level in these two pitchers at this time is two minute to be all that concerned IMO. Reminds me of you and I argueing over Loney and Rivera. Oh and BTW....Loney is fucking awesome again. WTF? When is the guy gnna just be good and stay good, or be bad and go away?
I don't think anyone would have jumped on the Choate move. It was so obvious. It was first guessed by everyone and their mother. As for Loney, I am looking forward to the day he is gone but if he can hit the rest of the way I'd welcome that.
