The main reason I want the Dodgers to sign Hamilton in the off season is so when he does something good I can say this:
As of right now the average team plays about 17 interleague games a year. According to Wikipedia there is a proposal to increase that number to 30, but I can't tell if that is actually going to take effect. However, the new division alignment does not require the number of interleague games to increase - in fact, with proper scheduling the interleague schedule could be cut almost in half.
I vote no. Here's why... He's injury prone. Too old for a long term deal.(See Pujols) Too much of a chance he's juiced.(See Pujols). Too much of a chance he will hang out with other rich/famous people doin drugs and alcohol in Los Angeles/Hollywood. Too many tattoos. Bad influence on our youth. He's a known alcoholic. Bad influence on our youth. He's white with tattoos so he's probably a white supremist. He bats left handed, we already have Loney, Ethier, and Abreau for LH power. He can't play 1B or 3B. He's from another state. He can't hit NL pitching and I don't want to wait until he learns to.(See Pujols) He throws LH...that always looks weird to me and assures us he can't play 3B. I do not want to lose Gwynn, Rivera, SVS, Sands, and/or Abreau. He can't steal 30 bases a season. He cheats on his wife. Bad influence on our married fans. It will be a disaster!
I think Fordie's entire post was tongue in cheek either that, or we're all bad influences on youth, fans, et al
Come on man...Really? From that one down are all jokes. The first 4 are legit, but I probably would love to risk it anyway.
