Thanks padres....and as far as wilson goes, please. If he threw one pitch 95 after throwing 88 pitch after pitch I can almost be certain that coghlan doesn't take him deep there. That "cut" fastball had zero movement and was basically a BP fastball.

If you can pick your spots to throw 95 fucking do it, don't say you can when you want to when no one has seen it pretty much all season.

Lost in the drone of surprise and disappointment from the bumbling manager and ridiculous set up man we have, was that incredible catch by Yasiel Puig. It was totally all-out as an attempt can get, and I don't think a whole lot of other players could have made it. Just jaw-dropping. Saved Paco from an earlier disaster than the disaster that came a little later with JP.
Also possibly lost is the fact that Paco, is definitely not at this time what he was when he came up, IMO. I think he must be used very sparingly and in specialty situations. I don't know about a whole inning that he starts.

I don't think anyone thinks any less of him than what you state...he is a classy guy, and funny, and of course he cares.
However, it doesn't change the fact that he has been a black hole for most of the year offensively. And maybe a dark grey one behind the plate.
Of course, now that he is swinging better, he will sit...and now Butera seems worse than ever. Donnie with his finger on the team's pulse, no doubt.
I do admit, that O was not the problem yesterday. Nope, not the offense a all.

Yeah, but at least SVS, when he takes his cap off, doesn't like like a pinhead from a 19th century freak show in a travelling circus. He's a regualr looking guy and just has a big beard. Not contrived or purposely trying to look like a Dr. Suess character.
We haven't seen the black nail polish yet...I guess all that "look at me and how odd I am" BS goes much further in people's patience when you're good and doing your job consistently...not so much when you flat out suck.

No more Wilson in close games, please. I had to leave right before Howell gave up all those runs, so I thought for sure we'd win this....

Oh well, a win or a Giants loss today means a series win gets us the division.

    Rain delay.

Question for those whom are better at math than I am: if we're rained out and the Giants lose, would a series win still be enough to clinch at home the next series?

Yes. A combination of Five Dodgers wins and/or Gnats loses cliches the division.

I hope everyone enjoys the short playoff run this team makes. With Dum Dum managing and the brilliant acquisitions of Ned, they have NO chance.

If you're mad about Wright starting, I don't think we had much more choice.

Hopefully that's it for Wright, not a fan of Frias warming behind him. Not sure what Don has against Yimi.
