Why shoot for anything? It doesn't matter. It's a game. Act how you want.

What do statements like, "This team is terrible" or "This team isn't going anywhere" accomplish? I consider myself part of the 26th man. If there was a guy on my bench saying shit like that I wouldn't want him on my team. As a fan you can't change anything but you can support the guys you have out there. Use the off-season as your time to reflect on who you liked and/or didn't like and on the changes you'd like to see. The one exception is prior to the trade deadline when changes are still a real possibility. This team is what we have. Either root for them or don't watch. That's my opinion.

It's a fluke. I've been waiting for them to bounce back but they just haven't. No real explanation. Losing back to back Kershaw Greinke games is proof that it's just baseball being baseball.

When we made the joke that Haren did a George Costanza and played well, we forgot to mention George still made stupid decision in the end.

Carl Crawford is on a nice hot streak but I will annoyingly complain that he still never hits for extra bases. He's pretty much Juan Pierre

I wouldn't look deeply into irrational comments during a game thread. We lost the first two games with Kershaw/Greinke starting and are down 7-0 in the 3rd game vs a potential playoff opponent. People aren't going to be overly happy. The bullpen problems, lack of depth in the lineup, injury problems, left field situation, and inability to comeback after 7 is frustrating. But nobody is going to stop watching because it's baseball and it's the most unpredictable sport and we have the best pitcher.

How funny would it be if we broke the 7th inning streak today?

Damn I just noticed that Van Slyke hasn't played much either. He's slumped lately but he is having a great overall year

Maybe we can blame the 3 game slide on the 20 games in 2o days. Much needed day off tomorrow.

The fact the Dee is in a slump, and has been lukewarm, and the rest of the team does absolutely jack shit when he is, shows you how important the guy is...it doesn't matter what kind of a leadoff hitter anyone thinks he is or isn't. We absolutely have no one better either, just another little factor that comes into play.
The team flat out sucks when he's not going wild, and they all look to this kid to get it rolling for them, the helpless jerkoffs.
He could be batting like our starting catcher is, or our backup catcher, or our ss or anyone else platooning anywhere, and they would still all be pissing in the wind without him. Not to mention, the geniuses in charge bring up Truinfel, rather than maybe someone who can get us rolling.
With the lineup we pay so very dearly for, with all the big beef and high salary queens, it still comes down to the 170 pound kid... he looks like he weighs about 20 pounds less than he did.
    Fucking laughable...
Maybe he can take Haren's spot in the rotation.
Y'know...the one that was a short whle ago hailed as "probably the best in BB"...I wonder where the fuck that one is now?
SF showing what a good solid BP can mean...we'll never know probably.

Not making any excuses, but we've played 20 games in 20 days.
    Hanley is on the DL
    Uribe is on the DL
    Ryu is on the DL
    Beckett is on the DL
    Paco Is on the DL
We were bound to go into a slump sooner or later.
