Fuck Ramirez just stick with Uribe. Unless by some miracle Seattle is stupid enough to trade Kyle Seager then I'd just let Uribe stick at third and possible offer him a 1 year deal after this season.
What I'm trying to say is that the trade has to be a good deal as well as fill a need. Don't just trade because a need gets filled.
Don't understand the logic of having Kyle long term at third when Corey is projected to be the third baseman by 2015 and we'll probably still have Hanley.
That sounds fantastic! Sign me up! I don't want to trade Andre though (even though we will). I love him.
Wow didn't think he'd get that much but if he's worthit then sign his ass. Kershaw, Grienke, Ryu, and Gonzalez would be signed for at least 5 more years. I am assuming that Kershaw resigns with us.
If we get Gonzalez and he can be as good as a solid #3 we'd have a fucking great pitching rotation for a long time.
WEDNEDSAY, 10:20pm: The Dodgers are deep into trade talks with the Marlins about Nolasco, a source confirmed to Mark Saxon of ESPNLosAngeles.com. However, it's hard to know if anything is close right now, the source added. A move for Nolasco would not mean the Dodgers are only targeting players to only help them this season, however. They are looking to add a starting pitcher and reliever before the deadline, but they have also talked about moving a veteran to add prospects that could help them beyond 2013. A third baseman is not a major priority for them, however, as they seem content with Juan Uribe.
If this Gonzalez is the real deal, that would be a perfect storm. He could easily slide into the 3/4 spot for next year. (Hell, if he looks that good, put him in the pen this year.) We walk into next season with Kershaw (26), Greinke (30), Ryu (27), Gonzalez (26), insert called up pitcher here. If he can be a number 3 for multiple years for 60 mil total--given today's market--steal. This would allow us to bring up Lee slowly (the Bills route) and then possibly Reed sometime thereafter.
That Nolasco piece was very sketchy. I don't think anything is close. Just saying that because we'd obviously absorb all the money.
