It’s moreso about them threatening him when they could just deal Ozuna and Yelich first. I don’t understand why he should be pressured into anything when he has to power to wait and see before agreeing to any trade.

Morosi reporting that the Dodgers are shopping Grandal according to rival GM’s. Not shocked

I don't think he is feeling any pressure..at least not to give them what they want. That was reportedly something they told him in October, and they received a couple trade offers a little over a week ago, so they're pretty much failing on that front. I mean if it's not us complaining about how long this is taking, then it's the media complaining about the same. Said from the outset that this Carmelo thanks to that no trade clause..not Paul George.

Yes indeed. Have to at least try and get out in front of a potentially untenable situation

Jeter is definitely a HOFer, but man is he overrated. Dude wasn’t even the best shortstop on those Yankee teams once A-Rod got there.

I'd like to see StatCast's take on that overrated play where he "dove" into the stands to catch a ball and got the bloody face.

D'Backs acquire Brad Boxberger. He is not as good as he used to be, but a decent addition to their pen. It will be interesting to see how AZ handles that pen this offseason. Rodney is a FA and Archie Bradley is said to want to return to the rotation where he was once projected as a front line starter.

Yeah, it seems a bit empty seeing that Stanton has his opt out in a year or two years.

Rodney had one good year a decade ago. If all they do is lose Rodney, their bullpen is better.

Morosi is reporting the Marlins are willing to accept the Giants offer of Panik, Beede and Shaw in a deal for Stanton if the Giants take on $250M of his contract. It does not sound like Gordon would be a part of that deal.

He was actually pretty could last season after he settled in from the shaky start. His numbers really suffered, because he would be great for 10 or so games, but then would absolutely implode in a game. Each team in the division whooped his ass twice, most specifically us and the Padres, then the rest of the league couldn't do shit about him. He was definitely not an elite reliever, but was surprisingly good enough to help that bullpen out a good bit. Also. since he held down the closers role, it allowed them to use Bradley when an opportunity presented itself earlier in a game.

We get the McCutchen stuff yesterday and then this follows. Smells like show and tell from the Giants' side. Maybe trying to pressure PIT
