MLB have us secretly running an experiment: how does a AAA squad fare against MLB teams?

The only thing that's pathetic is that the MLB hasn't postponed these games until we get like half of our team back. Lol.

Who am I kidding, Dre and Matty are our whole team.

I was dismissed is another thread when I listed cheaper players that were available during the last 3 years of FA. Guys who everyone knew would do better than our current crop. This falls on Ned. McCourt was horrid but even with the constraints, Ned could have gotten decent players. He deserves death but I would settle for him being fired. He will go work for the Gnats immediately--count on it.

If only Matt and Dre were in the lineup. Then we would have only been out scored 30-9

Conceivably, we are in a drought. When one considers our offense, one must wonder what the hell Ned was thinking. Ellis' injury was a fluke BUT he is at an age where playing 2nd full time is probably not going to happen. K. Johnson was available and cheap. We passed. Uribe had ONE FUCKING year and we gave him a contract when the following could have been had for the same or cheaper.Wigginton, Glaus, Chavez (whom we had working out for us and looked good), and Cantu. All of whom could have been had on a 1 or 2 year deal. Beltre was also available and probably overpaid but damn.... All of this shit started with us NOT resigning Beltre and the hole kept getting bigger. I loved Blake but damn when I think about Santana--I get pissed. Let us also not forget that Martin could have been moved to 3rd and it could have solved TWO problems.

As far as OFers are concerned, this is the only area that I will give him a pass on. Crawford and Werth were completely out of our price range and were vastly overpaid. However, we also believed that Sands would be an Allstar. This is why we need to move our AAA team. it makes bad to decent hitters look great. It does NOT reflect true ability. Look at SVS. Last year, not getting on OFer is fucking unacceptable. The following were available and ALL were upgrades. Beltan, Cuddyer, and Willingham. We passed on the them all. Also, it was clear that we needed an upgrade at 1st. Here is who we passed on in that position: Pena, Ramirez (who could have made Uribe move to first), D. Lee, and Rollins.

I think the issue is not that Ned has not had resources. It is that he is a terrible judge of talent and ability. I think the gets an idea and sticks with it--no matter the circumstances. I think he was going to sign Uribe during the 2010 season. He is not flexible. At all. And here we are. Simple adding one of each of these during the last few offseasons, would have changed our fortune completely. Imagine if we had Willingham and Wigginton right now. Our D would be down (though we have not been the best defensively this year) but our power would have been up.

We're too lame to get a softball team together lol. Would be fun to do it beer league style and just get drunk off our asses and lose though.

They do serve beer at the Softball park in West Covina. The Sons of Steve Garvey were last years most alcoholic beverages drank winners. Hell they started at 8AM.
