Honestly, last year I cried real tears because we were so close. This year nothing because I could see it happen. Just not in the cards no pun intended (that's a good headline)

I've gotten numb to it. Last year, I got home from school, checked the score, and just went to bed, feeling like shit.

Still feel like shit, but now, I get it. All the stats and talent in the world just can't take you far. You need something else. And we don't have it.

I mean let's be honest, all these other losses were child's play after game 1.

I cried. Between the game and that fucking Budweiser commercial with the dog. Yeah, I cried.

This is the time of the year where I scan MLB Trade Rumors on a daily basis.

I used to do that until I hopped on Twitter. That's literally all they do is copy and paste from baseball writers.

    This :this:

Chemistry fellas... A bunch if stars/individuals don't make a team. Baseball, more than any other sport, needs chemistry and we don't have it. It starts at the top. Ned-deadman, DBB- gone, bullpen-gone.

Maybe no one likes Ozzie, but I think he'd bring this team together. He's almost like an extra player in the roster.

I hate to sound like the old-geezer here, but that '88 team was the team that basically knew that winning wasn't about individual stats....arguments about who batter where, and what position to play. It was just about toughness, clutch and guile. They had baseball intelligence. No one here will say Lasorda was a technical genius, but he was a great communicator and motivator and bled....absolutely bled Dodger Blue. They had a no nonsense club leader in Gibson who basically said cut the crap and concentrate on winning, and they had gamers who never gave up at bats....and fought and fought even if it didn't show up on their stat line.

And of course the pitching....not just great regular season pitching, but smart, dominate, intelligent pitching. Clutch.....all the way.

It didn't last long of course. The averages catch up to you. But this current team is the exact opposite. It's the series of teams that had all those rookie of the year awards in a row, but didn't amount to squat. Puig reminds me of Raul Mondesi....so much potential, but soon got derailed. I don't know. I just feel this team is not really a "team"....no matter how many bubble ceremonies they have.

They just don't know how to play playoff baseball. And that includes Mattingly.

Puig has been a top-10 hitter in baseball since his call up. I get the Mondesi comps, sorta, but he's the least of our problems.

I'm wondering why Ned hasn't been fired yet. It's Wednesday evening.

How many seasons does he get to be GM with nothing to show for it?

Worrying is like a rocking chair.........

It gives you something to do but it gets you nowhere.

    That said. GO KINGS!

I love the Kings and love hockey, but regular season hockey is a little hard to get into.
