Kemper gets absolutely no grief from me for donating but he brought this upon himself when he said he'd donate a grand for every HR he hits. My immediate thought was, so Kemp's going to donate a $1000. Should have said he is going to donate $1000 for every strikeout or $5000 for every dp he commits.

The Durant tweet was pretty funny, but this is yet again one of the biggest problems of America nowadays. People can't worry about themselves. I guarantee none of those people who obviously have too much time on their hands, aren't going to donate at all to Oklahoma. Might sound like a dick here, but why should he? It's not like he caused the tornado. The fact that he has no obligation to donate and said that he would is all that should matter.

I don't think it is the fact that he isn't donating a bunch but that he made it a lame game in which however many HR's he hits is how much he is going to donate. I think if Kemper says he is going to donate 10K to the relief efforts then it would be fine but the 1K for every HR in a year of him only hitting 2 HR's is what is making Kemper an easy target right now.
I agree he probably should've done it a different way, but I'm sure he'd donate more if his performance keeps going at this pace. People just piss me off. Stop criticizing others and work on improving yourself.
This stuff really just gets under my skin. Being an American used to be something you could be proud of. I really feel cheated because it sounded like such a great place for years and years. Agree, I know for a fact I cannot criticize him or anyone else who donates on this one because most likely I'm going to donate zero dollars and zero cents. People just love to bitch about shit. I've said this for a long time now and fully believe it, Human Beings are the biggest POS animal on this planet.
I could see the cheap argument considering durant gave a mil and i agree with those of you who said at least he's doing something because he indeed has no obligation to give anything. If it were me I'd give up a game check and do a 5K per HR donation in addition.
some people suck, some parts of society suck, but doesn't mean a majority does. Anyways, this is awesome of Kemp. If it was $100, it's $100. He doesn't have to spend a dime on any charity. Shit, he gives a lot of his money in taxes, hows that for helping society? Don't understand how someone could think its lame or pathetic in terms of the dollar amount. And he's making it so every time he hits a home run it's not just a dedication to them in words, but in actual action. How come no one thought it was lame of Kershaw to give out money for every K? Sure, Kershaw K's a shit load and Kemp is struggling but point remains, it's not that they make it about themselves, it's just it makes it more special. I think it's awesome, and it's good to see that although he's being an overpaid fuck right now, at least some of that over payment is going to great shit and he still has a great off the field personality.
THE SHOULDER IS STILL FUCKED UP! Did anyone see the interview with Matthew Kemp on the pregame show today? It was taken last night, after the win. Matt had his left shoulder incased/wrapped in ice like a starting pitcher does after a start! This guy is still icing his shoulder and he doesn't even throw with it! That shoulder is NOT 100% He's obviously not healthy and is not going to hit the fucking ball until he is. Why is he still playing and especially why is he still a middle of the order guy? I didn't realize he was still fucked up for sure, but he is. We are fucked!
