What a shame. Hopefully Ethier can go Game 3 and Ryu deals. We have the advantage in every game the rest of the way out, being at home and then Kershaw, so let's do this.

Now all of a sudden game 3 is an X factor instead of a close out

This is why this team lost tonight. Poor decisions by DBB, the bullpen not able to do what they're supposed to, some bad calls by the officiating crew. and the hitters hitting into 3 dp's. Not to mention only 3 runs off of 10 hits.

Another reason Selig and Joe Torre are disgraces. No replay because of the "human element". That first angle was definitive evidence that Gordon was safe.

I'm absolutely livid right now. I know it's just a fucking game, but some of those decisions today were just mind numbingly stupid.

    Read this from ESPN:

He intentionally walked pinch hitter Reed Johnson to get a matchup of the lefty versus Heyward, the rare left-handed hitter who hit better against lefties (.264) than righties (.250) this season.

And we know that Paco is equally effective against righties and lefties, so there was NO advantage to loading the bases and facing a far superior hitter in Heyward.

Just more info to make everyone even angrier.

Reed Johnson's last hit in a game came on jul 28th.

Guess Donnie thought he was really really due? o_O

I don't like Crawford as much as lots of people do here, but damn, he's gotta step up a little in the post, man. Gotta turn it on a bit.
And I didn't get the Withrow move from Donnie, which as it turned out, sunk us but good. Paco's been putrid lately and they are both kids...tough spot to throw them in, but I'm thinking that DBB has zero faith in Belisario, and I can't blame him. It's kind of a wash there.
It showed today that we have a serious defect and weakness behind Atlanta in the BP, and not having Ethier able to play is just fucked up.
The injuries killed us early in the season for quite a long while, and hopefully they don't put the topping on the cake at the end of it.
We almost won anyway, and as I suspected, eventually the umpires sucked elephant cock, and they can fuck this whole thing up with their blatant ineptness.
Lord , let it not be us who suffers in the end....

Most of the time the game depends on what happens on the field.
Whether it be the starter, the bullpen or lack of timely hitting or hitting at all.

But the playoffs are an entirely different world and there are playoff games that the manager MUST WIN!
Dum Dum wasn't even out managed. That tool out thunk himself...........again.

Teams win Championships when the manager MANAGES the game for 27 outs. Dum Dum doesn't do that very well. He will cost us this post season.

The regular season is over and if Trey Hillman isn't telling Dum Dum to pitch to REED FUCKING JOHNSON, he has no place on a Major League bench.

How do you not pitch to REED FUCKING JOHNSON?

As for Dee-ann getting thrown out on a bad call. I want to know why hit and run wasn't on to help protect the runner because that pitcher has some serious gas and a quick release. Yes, it was a bad call but had the hitter been told to protect the runner, the play would not have been as close.

    REED FUCKING JOHNSON?
    JESUS CHRIST DUM DUM!
THAT'S LIKE WALKING JOE LEFEBVRE OR KURT FUCKING BEVACQUA OR JERRY HAIRSTON JR!

Simple way to look at it:
It's now a 3 game series with 2 at home.
Braves are pathetic on the road.

    But you never know.

Ethier way tonight sucked donkey balls
