Believe it or not I knew Kenley was going to do it. He made it hard work, but I knew. Times like this someone had to be the hero, and if anyone was going to do it, it was Kershaw and Jansen. Neither made it particularly easy on themselves though. So, Chase got it done playing second against a righty. Logan did sweet fuck all replacing him. "Grandy" worked a walk, but also hit two of his infamous pulls along he ground to the right side. One killed the momentum. Loved what I saw from Cody tonight. Enough of the bullshit, just get on base anyway you can. Even if it means a well placed bunt. I love when he fucks with the shift. He does it better than any Dodger I've seen since it started getting heavily implemented. Puig is no longer afraid of big moments, and I'm no longer afraid watching him attempt them. The sooner these umpires are made obsolete the better. Feels good to win.

Nice to clinch a playoff spot in SF, no matter what disasters precluded it. Imo, should be on full parade display by the LA faithful in AT&T. This should be something that the useless and much maligned Orel would be good at. Hope he is in full homer mode tonight, although I won't hear it, I don't think. Lol.
Based on the stats they mentioned last night (and the lousy AB's) I think Grandal being wayyyy < Barnes is more of a problem than Adrian.

Barnes should get most of the starts in the stretch. We still need Grandal and his framing abilities, but he looks physically spent. Need him fresh for the playoffs.
Yup...physically spent since mid June or thereabout...sure don't make 'em like they used to. Yogi, Roy, Johnny, Mike and pretty much every other catcher ever agree...
