All you need: 1) unblock-us account 2) MLB tv I wanted to wait to post this until I knew it worked. To watch games through MLB tv without blackout restrictions, you can use unblock-us.com Sign up for an account at unblock-us (it's free for a week, then $5/mo), follow the instructions to change the DNS on your device (iPad/computer/etc... Or you can alter your router DNS if you want everything in your home affected, you may want to write down the old DNS on your device if applicable), reboot and return to unblock-us. If done correctly you can change your country on unblock-us.com. Now you are set. Then you sign up for MLB.tv. $25/mo for premium or $20/mo standard. I like premium. I successfully used my iPad last night, and flipped the game onto the big screen via appletv. Another DSPer used his computer. This is legit for those wanting to avoid free streams during these hard times. BlueMouse rocks.
You're too late, Mouse, I've already planned to move outside the blackout zone. I found a wonderful tent just outside of Tonopah, Nevada. Once the internet gets hooked up out here, I'll be able to watch the Dodgers on mlbtv without your fancy program. Yup.
Sweet, now this Yankee fan can see those all important Rockies games that are my "home" team because the 9 hour drive to Denver has been killing me. Though for Angelino's wanting dodger games this is a great tool.
Yeah, that drive up the 95 from Las Vegas to Reno is about as barren as it gets. I don't blame the military for nuking it.
Thanks a fuck ton BM!! I am currently in Australia and thought I'd go ahead and get mlb.tv premium while I'm out here and then cancel it when I get back to LA but fuck that I'm keeping it now!! Fuck yeaaaah!!! Thanks dude!:woot:
MLB.Com Media Center - this is where you go to find the mlb "free game of the day". You can spin ahead a few days and see what's coming up. No Dodgers yet, but we must keep checking. http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/?nexdef=true
I don't know. If you try it, let us know if it works. I have a non-LA VPN connection, like 4EB suggested, but video comes through too choppy on my connection.
Anything worth using you're gonna have to pay for. Just bite the bullet and do the 5 bucks a month for Unblockus. It works great. Hopefully it won't be more than another month before the channel gets picked up, but idk.
For anyone who has Netflix: since I pay $5 a month for unblock-us service to get around MLB blackout restrictions, I decided to check out what it could do for Netflix and it's impressive. Visit moreflicks.com, uncheck everything except Netflix, and search around. There are tons of movies available in other countries and TV seasons that are months away from being available in the US. Click on the Netflix icon after finding something and it shows what country it is available in. For those of you who are ditching cable, this is worth checking out.
Not sure how the blackouts work but right now mlb network is scheduled to be showing quick pitch but are showing "bonus coverage" of the dodgers game. They have done this several times now. If it's not blacked out in LA could mlb be doing an end around on licensing? Won't get you guys great coverage but it's something.
