Great win today! Let's sweep those Nats so we can forget about this awful series. So stoked Haren got pushed back cause him pitching a day game at DS could turn ugly fast! Fuck the Brewers. I hope they miss the playoffs. Rooting for the Rockies to pull out a miracle sweep this week!!
If Haren pitches on the 5th then he should pitch again on the 10th, right? There's no off days between them. Of course we could see Frias again or Correia if they want to limit Haren's innings and then just skip him all together like you said on the off day. I might be just confusing myself trying to figure this out. I'm going to expand on what I'm seeing. Sept. 3 - Frias vs DC Sept. 5 - Haren vs AZ (Haren pushed back but not skipped as I've heard so far) Sept. 6 - Greinke vs AZ Sept. 7 - Ryu vs AZ Sept. 8 - Hernandez vs SD Sept. 9 - Kershaw vs SD (ultimately the game I care about for this discussion because I'll be there) Sept. 10 - Haren vs SD (unless skipped in which case it's Frias or Correia) Sept. 11 - Off-day count it towards Kershaws rest Sept. 12 - Greinke vs SF Sept. 13 - Ryu vs SF Sept. 14 - Hernandez (Or does Kershaw go here due to the off-day?) I'm not sure how I originally came up with Ryu, Hernandez, Kershaw for the SF series but that looks to be wrong. Oh I think I See what I did. I unintentionally skipped Haren's start on the 10th.
They'll start Kersh for the third game no doubt unless something bad happens. Clayton will demand the ball.
If Kershaw pitches on the 9th, he would have 6 days rest. I could see them moving him one day up so he pitched the 8th and 14th each on 5 days rest
I guess they can keep playing and scoring like they are, but really, can SF do this at this pace for much longer? It is troubling however, that they did this to a "good" team...I mean crushed them like bugs. And the Brewers handled us pretty well. How about rolling over a little more Milwaukee...you can still take some more SF top, boys. Incredible beatings. Nice W today for us...big shot in the arm from Ryu, and finally, the millionaires drove in some runs, like NZ asked. What a difference. I think Dee is exhausted, and I'm glad somebody else can see it besides an old guy watching TV in NJ. I don't know what the answer is to the late season fatigue, especially for a skinny kid who has run his ass off all year. I guess rest is the only thing available in this roidless era. You don't want him screwing up the place like yesterday, and not hitting, but you can't keep him out forever; leadoff so-o-o important. I don't know really what to think of Puig...honestly, I don't know how a person can watch his utter ineptness and fultility AB and say "he's fine" and not be concerned over it. He's the kind of player who when doing well, he's breathtaking and performs incredible offensive output , like 3 triples. And when he's bad, he's bad beyond the average bad. It looks like , right now, he hasn't a fucking clue what to do, except be an automatic out.
