we also owned him earlier this year when he was still w/tampa http://www.espn.com/mlb/boxscore/_/id/360503130
His four starts against us is Matt Moore in a nutshell. When he is on, he is one of the better pitchers in the game, when he is off, HE IS REALLY OFF. Look at his ER's per game, a lot of 0,1,2 and a couple 3's which were all very good coming out of that AL East, but then you see the SEVEN games of 5+ ER's. If that Giants rotation was consistent of MadBum, Cueto, the Alphabet Soup they thought they were getting and post injury 2015 Peavy, he'd be the perfect #5 for that rotation or really any playoff roster. Instead we are seeing him as their #3, though Alphabet Soup is turning things around somewhat, and Moore is pitching nowhere near that caliber. At this point in his career he is a decent #4/good #5 in a rotation, but I don't think he is anything much better than that unless he gets his control in check. With that said, I'll be a bit worried if the Giants have a rotation next year of MadBum, Cueto, Sabathia/Hill type, Samardzija, Moore to fit their back end guys into spots more fitting to their skill set.
