Would be the win of the season and the kind of game that could turn things around
this is big
Gibson is the ump? Explains a lot....always been a POS
Ride the momentum tomorrow!!
can we stop w the social distanced interviews?
especially w this robot chick
some Lux hate here but LETS FUCKIN GO!
the mariners up the ass but for real that's an unnerving avatar lol
The electronic K zone is so desperately needed at this point, the integrity of the whole beautiful game of baseball cries out for it.
Changing baseballs physically along with a host of traditional rules will not make up for the core problem that the control and in many cases the final outcome of the game, is in the hands of obviously inept and continually low performance individuals that fail blatantly at what they are paid to do.
If it broke, don't fix it. I agree.
If it was Angel Hernandez and Gibson only, it could be lived with...but it's not.
Cumulatively, it's so broken, it's barely functional on a daily basis.
It is shameful, and needs to be addressed very boldly and quickly. No hitters are commonplace now...
What I question is, they want a game with more offense ( I assume), but the K zone is expanded to a degree that only enhances pitching. And in many instances, mediocre pitching.
Who knows what the strike zone is any more ?
Another pressing question is ( along with pointy sideburns on Japanese players), is why do we say " the count is two and oh" etc.??
When all other numbers are used? Why isn't it " two and zero"? "Nothing" is used sometimes, much more correct than "oh".
Why is it changed to a letter in the alphabet, when it should be a numeric amount. ?
Most likely probably some dolt umpire years ago.
Or Joe Torre.
I could be more sympathetic to the botched strike three call on Mookie if he hadn't opened the AB with two horrible check swings on pitches well out of the zone. He should have never been in that position.
Lux could have had an even bigger night. Seattle RF made a nice play on his line drive in the second.
+1.28.....that is ridiculous
Explains why he was so awful..
Edwin Ríos will have surgery next week to repair a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder, ending his season. Ríos is expected to be ready for competition at Spring Training next year.
I mean this sincerely: a “old school” guy like you saying we need a electronic strike zone convinces me even more so that it is definitely needed
god damn. I thought it was a phantom DL but apparently not. That really sucks
we need some depth on both sides of the ball, damn. Feel bad for Rios
and get off my lawn...
Yeah, it's gotta come soon. For the love of the game.
That damn Beaty...I miss Neuse.
To be fair... and with MAD respect for @Bluezoo in every way .... I've been chirping about MLB umps for years now ... thus & so ...
