See, this is why you don't overreact to fights on the football field ---> https://vine.co/v/eF2FdO1P50m Now, what you don't see in the Vine, because the vid cuts out right before it, is Coop slamming Jones to the ground when they were well behind the play. So Coop handled his head being slammed onto his own helmet pretty well through the media and that's probably because his ass initiated the scuffle. Good call by the NFL, reviewing the play, and seeing all that happened there. Nobody needs to be " suspended for life ". Jones has actually done a great job of turning his life around...he needed 1,000 chances, but better late than never. I wish the Raiders had picked him up before the Bengals did, but the atmosphere around the Raider locker room hadn't been cleaned up yet to the point where they bring in Aldon Smith-types and try to turn their careers/lives around.

But again, notice that the play (Olawale and the ball) is well beyond Coop/Jones at the point where the video cuts off and the goal-line is literally 10yds away. Olawale's tackled, the ref calls the play dead...Coop then clearly turns around, grabs Jones, and then slams Jones when there was no need for it. So, yes, Coop's actions were over the top. Coop got popped earlier in the game in his welcome to the NFL moment and he was probably tryin to be physical and send a message and for that he got manhandled in response.

And so the question comes...did Coop deserve to get his head slammed against his helmet? I'll answer that like this...personally, I don't ever feel sorry for anybody that initiates unnecessary bullshit. Jones didn't have to go quite that far, but when Coop starts the shit he can't whine about the consequences or what happens thereafter. What I would do is just to tell Coop to be ready to fight if he's gonna seek guys out behind plays and slam them. It's the NFL...grown man country and a lot of pride on that field. If that's the way Coop's gonna go about his business then I don't wanna see him get punked again. If you're gonna initiate this kinda stuff behind plays..then be the winner of the fight. That's all I ask. Otherwise, don't seek guys out like that. Don't let the same guy that you unnecessarily slam, get on top of you, and work you afterwards [no homo].

I'm not a huge fan of getting rid of Butler, because I think he can play a little bit. But I do think it's funny that the media is portraying him as this hidden gem player now that he's a Cowboy. Gotta love the media.

I don't know about the media loving him now because he's a Cowboy. He was gettin props in camp and putting up nice numbers in the preseason or whatever. Making some ridiculous 1 handed grabs at practice and giving them pretty good depth at receiver. I guess it's a win if they get a 5th rounder for him since he was a 7th round pick, but I just don't like that he never got a real shot. But Del Rio said he wasn't in their plans.

CJ Wilson brought back. Beefing up at DE...maybe Mack is gonna move back to SAM? Going with Aldon/Edwards/Tuck/Wilson/Autry at DE with Mack goin back to SAM is certainly better than playing Ray Ray in base looks.

Also, Carr expected to play vs. Ravens

I think they beat the Ravens. Ray Ray going to the bench should make a big difference. Aldon will probably be starting and play 50-somethin snaps and the Ravens receivers aren't anything special. Steve Smith could have a big day, but if they put Carrie on him they can make it tough on the old man. Ravens' talent really isn't all that impressive...the Bengals should fold them this year. No T. Suggs either. Closer game here I have to believe if the Raiders can avoid stupid penalties and pass interference when Flacco tests our safeties. 17-16 Raiders

Jones was better. Green Bay was lucky to get him back.

Slava Voynov is going back to Russia. Crazy shit there. If he didn't go back voluntarily, there was a very good chance he would've been deported. Sucks for him and the Kings that he acted like an idiot and did what he did.

I wouldn't expect that to change much either. They're a base Cover 3 defense and that's mainly a 4 man rush D in general, but certainly for a defense in the crawling stages in terms of the key talent in the secondary. When they do blitz, a lot of times it's gonna be the strong safety ( we don't really any of those right now...Asante was able to turn the corner on occasion in the preseason).

Probably not gonna blitz old man Woodson much, especially with his shoulder now. Seattle's safeties/corners are so good that they can add wrinkles and blitz with either safety and either one can fill the free safety role on an all-pro level ( when Chancellor's playing, that is). Basically, we don't have the personnel for all that yet, but Aldon Smith playing more and will give them a chance to blitz the SAM on occasion. But again, the safeties are the key in taking the Cover 3 to the next level.

The base Cover 3 D could put the nail in Hayden's coffin as far as him remaining a corner with the Raiders...felt it from the time they brought Norton in. Luckily for him his best attributes are coming up in run support and coverage in the middle of the field. He could have a future at safety in the system..or nickle back at least. He's much better there than on the boundaries. He's pretty physical in the tackle game..I'll give him that. But he could also have his ass traded because it looks like JDR and RMC are in sync on who does and doesn't have a future in their system and they aren't wasting time when it comes to trading guys.

If it comes down to it and all our safeties are out, I'd rather see Hayden get a crack at safety than McGill, but McGill would probably get the nod since he played there in college or whatever. But McGill was switched to corner in the 1st place because he can't tackle, so moving him to safety would be spinning their wheels, IMO. Hopefully Kam Chancellor's little brother turns out to be somethin for us. Or hopefully we're trading all these guys and getting all these extra picks to facilitate a run at Kam Chancellor his gotdamn self. He legitimizes that system by himself.

Peyton loses his 1st game to KC tonight as a BroncHo. Their O-line is out of sorts and Peyton still can't go downfield dating all the way back to the end of last season. 20-16 Chiefs win @ home.

Fuck that, I have Thomas and Sanders, I want them to go off! Lol, I do like the Chiefs, so I don't care if the Broncos lose, just prefer that those guys go off.
