LOL at the thought of teams sequestering their players at Lake Las Vegas. Honestly, not a bad idea for the area to start working on selling that idea since the place is one step away from becoming a ghost town.

We went there when I feel like they first opened. I really enjoyed it since I was too young for the strip and this place had bomb food and a decent atmosphere.

Have a cousin that's pretty big in the fight game who has a place there, so I've been to Vegas more times than I care to remember.
Don't know about NASCAR, but the atmosphere during a big fight weekend alone is off the charts, can't wait to see how the NFL does.
But yeah, speaking of the fight game..watch out for old UFC guy/Vegas big wig Lorenzo Fertitta trying to get his share of the RAIDERS in the future, pretty loud whispers there.
Anyway, sometimes I stay at the Aria just because of the atmosphere

There aren't any brothels in Las Vegas, at least not officially. Everything is done on the DL. As far as actual brothels in Pahrump etc... I've never been, but from what I've heard/read, they aren't exactly the most desirable places to visit.

I was also there around the time places were just opening up. It's a gorgeous area, and it wasn't crowded yet because it was all new. I went there again probably 4-5 years later (after the recession started), just to check it out, and there were even less people - seemed like not nearly enough people to keep the area afloat.

hmm, that's too bad, but that is definitely a spot that is going to attract an odd crowd for LV. Like I could see my GF and I staying there if we ever had a reason to go as we both don't care much for the gambling scene. So they're really just relying on that crowd which there probably aren't many. It was funny though, that pool was packed with beautiful 20-somethings that seemed out of place among all the families.

The first time I went I was living in Vegas and had received some specials in the mail, we went kayaking and I think it was $10 for the day for 2 people. It could be that all the 20-somethings at the pool were locals who got deals to hang out. Truth be told, attracting the non-gambling crowd is not good business, so if that's the crowd showing up then they aren't happy. It's an odd area, out of the way and you have to have a car to get there. I'd like to see it do well, like I said it's a beautiful area, but if you stay there you are kind of committing yourself to not visiting any other area of Vegas.

Wonder if they gave any thought at all to " Sin City " RAIDERS
Would probably be tough to get backing there tho

Haha, this is actually the name I was hoping for. It fits the organization and it is not like it is unheard of in sports, ie Golden State

My guess is it'll be tossed around in an informal type of way
Would've definitely been cool to get that on an official level

That would be cool, but I think at best you are looking at that as an informal nickname. With all the money the city is dumping in, I'm sure they want to use it as an opportunity to further brand "Las Vegas". Or to put it in Vegas terms: The name "Sin City Raiders" is a 500:1 shot.

I could see both the NFL and actually the city of Las Vegas fighting it somewhat, but boy would I like it. The Sin City Raiders! It's also sneaky good marketing, I feel like it would be viewed by some fans as "Our Team" not a Las Vegas team since it does stick with persona of an organization who will now have moved 3 times in under 40 years.

RAIDERS looking to be the 1st franchise to win a Super Bowl for 3 different cities.
Maybe San Diego should fear not?
    Maybe one day.......naaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Yeah I think so too, long shot

Yeah, agreed, I think it would sort of placate to the fans in Oakland and LA as well
It's interesting for sure from a marketing standpoint..I know I'm done counting the RAIDERS out of anything..I have lived to see the day that Vegas has a NFL team.

    :laff:

Nah. Death, taxes, and San Diego never winning a championship. 3 things you can always count on. SD is easily the best place I've ever lived, so fuck em. That's the trade off for living in an otherwise perfect place.

Yeah, I don't think Las Vegas will allow it as the official name. Also, I don't think the moving really hurts their overall fan base. The Raiders have one of the biggest out-of-town fan bases of any major sports team. Even most of the fans in Oakland are bound to stay loyal. At the end of the day, Las Vegas is the ideal place for out-of-town fans to visit.

Prostitution is illegal in Clark County/Las Vegas. It's only legal in counties with populations under a certain amount of people. So illegal in any place that matters: Vegas, Laughlin, Reno, and Carson City. And LVPD does run sting operations... umm I've heard.
