I wish we could get that guy Morrow...a closer (16) level guy to share with sometimes scary Jansen would he ideal..
    Oh, wait..
    Never mind.
    Relax...?
OK bro, pass the uh...relaxants...but we were pretty damn lucky recently, and maybe not so red hot as the team has been with the 8+ runs for June previouly.
These three Giant smucks we faced ( Bumfuck recent post injury returnee) had us pretty damn handcuffed...and today, if not for a mucked up throw to second, we don't score shit.
Cubs just may not be exactly as readily dropping flys in CF, etc.
    We'll see.
Going to the Met games ?

It's not him, per se, but rather the fact that bringing up some 21 y/o "What if" to make up for the wasteful loss of another oft-injured POS castoff like Kohler, and the numerous BP games, are even news in our world.

    It's pathetic!

Definitely the Friday and Saturday games. Maybe Sunday we’ll see if we win the first two. You?

So just read that the Mets are listening to offers.......any idea what it would take to get DeGrom? Unfortunately the guys is still in his Arb years so i bet the price would be high. Would Joc and Alvarez be enough?

It wouldn't, but I still wouldn't trade Joc. Verdugo, Alvarez, a couple other specs, then yeah I would try that

They'd probably hang up the phone immediately. Alvarez is no longer a top 10 org prospect at the end of the year imo, and Joc has just as much control as DeGrom, which if they trade him are entering into a long term rebuild. Probably would be talking a package around Verdugo/Diaz, Ruiz and Lux to start the conversation and then some smaller pieces(this honestly may be a bit light). 2.5 years of relatively affordable control for one of the top 5 pitchers in the league right now will not come cheap. Have to remember that as good of a year that our farm is having right now with some of the marginals, nobody is breaking down walls like in years past as looking like a potential major league star. Guys that have those really high ceilings (Ruiz. Peters, Kendall, Alvarez, Heredia and Santana are all scuffling). Other teams that have more top heavy systems and a greater need for SP are in a stronger position than us, so it would cost us more from our depth than in the star power that other clubs may be able to unload.

I am not crazy about DeGrom, but at this point the team needs a reliable pitcher that is affordable. DeGrom is getting paid like $7MM this year so his cap hit would be less than $3.5MM. IMO MGT needs to make this kind of trade to have a shot at the playoffs this year.

Just looked at Ruiz, his average is down but his HR/RBI/BB seem to be on track or better than his norm. I still think teams would want him as a future catcher. Yeah, Alvarez and Peters seem to have regressed, but the plus for Alvarez is that 100mph pitchers always stick around. Verdugo seems to still be hitting in AAA, so that is a plus. I would be comfortable with a package headlined by Verdugo and Ruiz.

Something needs to be done to shore up this rotation.

Chase Utley receives Father's Day gifts from his … Dodgers teammate
NBC Sports Philadelphia — 9 hours ago

On May 20, Chase Utley indicated that his Dodger teammates have started calling him dad, so it stands to reason that on Father's Day, they would come bearing gifts for the oldest position player in the National League.

Utley posted these two photos to his Instagram Story today showing gifts from teammate Kike Hernandez, which includes one awesome T-shirt.

In addition to his fake teammate son, Utley also has two sons, six-year-old Benjamin and three-year-old Max, who got to take part in a very special art project for their dad. Chase gave his sons a pair of white cleats to color on, which he wore for today's game against the Giants.

They turned out how you'd expect, which is a pretty cool thing for Chase to wear on Father's Day.

If you can't get enough cuteness from members of the 2008 Phillies, there's a video of Cole Hamels having tea with his five-year-old daughter, Reeve, that will melt your heart.

Baseball is a sport that can uniquely bring families together, whether someone is your real dad or just the father figure in the clubhouse.

Overall pull pen quote I can't disagree with but Kohler hasn't pitched for us yet so you can't really say what he'll do. They obviously saw something in Caleb and out of desperation they brought him up and it didn't workout, shit happens.

Kershaw just threw a 3 inning sim that apparently went well. This would likely put him in track for a June 28th series finale start against the Cubs. Unless they don’t have him pitch a rehab start(please have him throw a rehab start!).
