Sands is NOT the answer. We all but handed him the starting job going into spring training and the dude shit himself. I will use him as trade bait the first chance I get.

Loney's regression does not, in any way, mitigate the fact that Sands has yet to prove he can hit big league pitching

Small sample sizes prove nothing. Agin, the only time he got regular PT, he crushed it.

Btw, may I remind you I was also a huge advocate of AJ Ellis and many of ou talked shit about him and said he can't be an everyday guy. Another example is JMac.

I'm getting a little sad in thinking what could have been if LaRoche and Loney would have turned out to their max potential.

AND you were wrong about SVS. JMac? You are claiming victory with that? Come on man, he sucked for us for awhile...we had to give him up. EVERYONE on the forums knew the kid had a great arm and could pitch, but it was obvious he wasn't going to do it for us. The DUDE Cried...shed tears on the field of a major league ballpark...and noone was dead. Men don't cry unless someone is dead or at least hurt real fucking bad! Maybe a real sad movie...but come on.

So he showed emotion on one occasion and he is shit? It would be like you being judged on 1 post. He needed a change of scenery and a chance to pitch irregardless of 1 or 2 bad outings. Now having said that he is coming back down to earth a little bit right now so who knows.

Averaging 90 RBI's for 3 straight years is proving himself BUT he has not sustained it and has regressed no doubt but you cannot ignore those years. Sands showed signs at the onset of his career but the league caught up just like many a major leaguer. I liked that Sands was able to go the other way when he was up but then that is all he could do. He has potential BUT alot of guys show a big bat in the PCL.

Yes, he was SHIT for us. Absolutely horrible once he hit what, the 3rd inning. He actually showed emotion more than once. I only saw actual tears once though. 1 or 2 bad outtings? What team were you watching back then?

The kid was shit...and he was weak. I'm glad we didn't hang on to him for years and years like we did Loney.

Sands and SVS and the rest - it's difficult to tell what we've really got out in Albuquerque. The problem is the PCL. We need a AAAA team to prepare these guys for mlb. Maybe we should send them to the Astros for a couple of years...
