Bummed it didn't workout but it wasn't from lack of effort I
can tell you that. Here's to getting better and being better.
    1:13 PM - 26 Jul 2017

effort can only take you so far
a lack of talent will eventually be exposed
    as far as getting better...

I think every other non-FUCKTARD GM in the league is going to reject this dipshit's pitch for more money.....

David Vasseigh(sp?) is saying that the O's have had a scout in LA over the last couple of days watching the MLB club. That would be interesting if the team preferred to move someone from the MLB roster, but no clue who that would be? Guys like Puig, Forsythe, Barnes and Stewart are all names that have been thrown out there, but not sure there is anyone else they'd move at this time.
I only said Barnes since that was suggested a couple weeks ago by someone in the baseball world, but I don't see a situation where the club is ok trading him at this point.
For those that say Pederson, also put that in the "now way" department. He's played pretty damn well since the concussion and would be an overpay for a possibly injured setup man.

It could also be to watch the Twins? But also maybe some relievers (like sending back one of our lefties). I've read Farhan mention multiple times that they don't wanna ruin the current chemistry of the club so I can't see them doing something drastic like trading a starting position player, other than perhaps Forsythe

Puig is a tough one. But if they're confident Verdugo is ready to hit big league pitching I would make the deal. Not specifically for Britton, but any deal that makes us better. I think Verdugo would only be a slight drop off defensively. Offensively, he would add a dimension we don't quite have. Joc, Puig, Grandal type bats are valuable but redundant.

I don't see a starting spot for Logan if Gonzo comes back and hits.
You can't take Taylor and Bellinger out of the lineup.
Unless Logan starts hitting like the player we thought we traded for.
I understand not wanting to overexpose Taylor and the BABIP indicates there's regression coming, but he's been so good that I think he's on the cusp of earning starting job.

I know his BABIP is high, but anyone hitting rockets down the line (like he did consistently yesterday) will have a high BABIP.

The O's are desperate for pitchers especially starters and for the pen because offense hasn't been their issue. Barnes could be a focus because he catches and plays all over the field but I don't see us trading an everyday player but I don't want him to go. I hope they are looking at Grant Dayton, Josh Fields lol. Ravin has looked good but they may stay away from him because he's already been suspended for PED's. I'd give them Ryu and Kenta.

A lot of times, when there's a 3rd and/or possibly 4th MLB ready catcher in an org it could make some sense to move a guy like Barnes.
But his case is special, his being able to help out at 2B or 3B if disaster strikes
He's in the shadow of Taylor this year

Well Kyle Farmer is in AAA and he's played catcher, left field, 2nd base and 1st base. Again not advocating Barnes being traded just showing that our depth at catcher has all of a sudden become a strength.

Yu Darvish just gave up a home run to Dee Gordon which lowers my excitement for him by a significant margin

ERA in Texas is 4.35 and away it's 2.49. The place is a hitters paradise and the weather is getting extremely hot so the ball carries!!

Pads owner came went on the mighty 690 and said they're like to keep Hand as a cornerstone type of guy. Take it for what it's worth.

WTF? It's in Texas and the sun shines on a Dog's ass once in awhile. Alex Wood gave up a GS to a pitcher a few days ago.
