I kinda would be okay with the Cardinals winning it because that way a team would win that we couldn't beat. Pretty sure in 7 games we could take the O's/Royals/Giants

 

O's yes. Gnats yes.

Royals? No way. Their bullpen makes ours look like a pen of Rookie ballers. We'd have no chance.

 

We could easily get to their starters early which we would have to do. It would be a struggle but it's possible

 

i don't know about easily, bro. the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde Dodgers' offense from this past year is hard to bet on. and the Royals put so much pressure on pitchers/catchers with their running game..i just don't know. they could make Ellis look like shit behind the plate. and all that great defense that they play. man, i enjoy watching what the Royals do. i just do. i have to admit it. and the fire they play with..Hosmer and the Moose and Perez behind the plate. Yost is a bigger weakness than their starters. we got shut down by a playoff rookie, Lynn ( again), and old man Lackey..part of that is the Dodgers shutting themselves down with dumb ABs too.

 

With another manager and a reliable 7th inning pitcher. We'd still be playing.

probably so, but in need of offense, and knowing that we had a suckass bullpen, our offense still turned up 3 runs in the last 2 games.

I think 8 times out of 10 we take the Cards in a 5 game series. It took a lot of timely hitting on their side + untimely hitting on our side to squeak out 1 run victories.

 

Ummmm....I'm not so sure it was timely hitting as Kershaw absolutely loosing it in the 7th innings of both Game 1 and Game 4. We shoulda, coulda, woulda won those games.

I'm going to have to root for the AL. At least it's not the Yankees or Red Sox. And I'll root for almost any team other against the Giants or Cards. I'm just hoping some good news comes out and the Giants tank the NLCS.
