Also great show. Loved that scene with walt calling and basically giving skylar a free get out of jail card. You could tell he was struggling so hard with having to say those things and actually realizing it's probably the last time he will talk to her. The question though is does walt deserve any kind of redemption. It's looking like the only thing is saving jesse, but walt is such a scumbag at this point would that even matter? I think at this point the most fitting conclusion is that everything he loved or cares about goes up in flames and he offs himself at the end. (probably suicide via the scarface route is the best option) either way, great show and ill be sad when it's over.
Jessie deserves redemption. He's about the only one that deserves it. I'd like to see Jessie get the upper hand on Todd and the nazis. I'm not sure if Walt deserves redemption or not. If he gets it, I hope to see it come at the cost of his own life. Maybe doing something to save Walt Jr. or Jessie in a final sacrifice.
Just jumping in to report we are almost finished with season 2. The junkie GF just drowned on her puke and I could not believe Walt let her die! Dude is changing a lot and fast! I've never seen a show this fucking good and so damn addicting. The wife and I watch like 3 episodes or more per day...whenever we can fit them in. We don't even have sex anymore...thanks BBad! Anyway...thanks for pushing me to get Netflix BDK...great fucking deal! Obviously I don't want to know the future but I'm really pulling for Jesse to get his shit together...I just love that character.
Ricin will definitely come into play in the last 2 episodes. If you remember back to the first episode of this set there was a flash forward where Walt enters his burned out house and retrieves the ricin from the wall plate. Is it for the Nazis? Lydias tea? (whenever they would meet in a coffee shop she was always super paranoid and I believe she always ordered tea)
Dude, it's only going to get better. You're going to love some of the new characters that show up in season 3.
good point. and i don't get all the hatred of Walt tbh. he's doing what he has to do to operate at that level. no country for old men. he's done some very bad things to be sure but someone tell me how he was going to rise to that level in his chosen field without getting dirty.
!!!!!Spoilers!!!!!! He went well beyond doing what he had to do to care for his family. Somewhere along the line it became about him and compensating for his perceived failings throughout his life. Letting Jesse's girlfriend die? He didn't need to do that. Poisoning Brock? He did it to turn Jessie against Gus, but that's still pretty hard to explain away. Offing all of Mike's guys because he didn't want to pay them? Offing Mike, when he could have let him disappear? Manipulating Jesse into offing Gail? The constant manipulation of Jesse?
just a quick thing for this thread, we are all assuming in this thread that you are caught up... I moved it all out of the OTT into this thread to avoid people from getting spoiled for just going into the OTT. So don't feel bad about any spoilers, everyone here is 100% caught up and if they aren't well, they should know!
jesses gf meh. she was a drug addict and had essentially poisoned herself to death. he just didn't save a drug addict that was bringing jesse down. brock was a business move offing mikes guys that were extorting him was over the top i agree and mike, well i guess he just felt he'd be back to exact revenge jesse doesn't know what to do and can't live w the fallout but the decisions walt makes are based on the moment imo i don't think you get a chance to second guess yourself in his world, you go on your gut but yes it has gone much further than just taking care of family once he chose to take his path that just goes w the territory. he's in until he's dead no turning back
i know you bastards are watching the second to last show at this moment. i otoh am doing my best to perfect my buzz and zip through it sin commercials. oh yeah.
Great lead up to the final show. The showing of his ex business partner was a surprise. Don't know what he has plans for now.
I think Gretchen and Elliot (his exes) was to light a fire under his ass. He's all weak up there in New Hampshire, but now, he's gonna finish what he started. Either he's really pissed off that they said he didn't have anything to do with the company and it made his ego mad, or he realized, during the interview when they mentioned the blue meth is still in production, that Jesse is alive, and the neo nazis didn't do their job.
=LAST ONE IN THE BB POOL= So I'm not reading anything on this thread... yet... I searched through Netflix last night and found Season 1 Ep 1 and turned it on... the wife walked in and said "what is this shit?" to which I replied "some hard ass show that wins Emmy's, not knowing that it really did win an Emmy because I turned off the Emmy broadcast to watch BB S1E1. When it got raw near the end I heard "I can't believe you're watching this still" to which I replied "yeah and I heard it's worse... way worse" Well she sat and watched the end with me but I think with the disgusted head shake at the end it just might have gotten a little easier to watch sports at the Capn's place... LOL S1E2 coming up... it may take a while to catch up with you guys but I've finally put a toe in the pool
