    Why do people in LA like the Raiders? I've always wondered that. Is it the colors and superbowl win? The Rams going to Anaheim? Always wondered cuz when I think of the Raiders it is really Oakland's team. When I think of LA I think Rams.

    The Raiders do have the best colors...don't you think? Black and silver is so cool, and the white jerseys look great wth the silver pants, too.
    I think everyone really wants to root for a team that is a winner...and there was a time, probably way before most of yours collectively, I admit, they just were inspiring from the moment they ran out on the gridiron. Then those old timers have kids, and lots of children root for Dad's team I know this is what happened with the Dodgers and my kid.
    I have a little trouble with the dress-up like a pirate and swashbuckler shit, as many pirates were flamers and psychotics.
    They were in LA at least once, and they were "bad". maybe it's the oppo/anti-laid back SoCal attitude come to the surface ? Just for balance?
    Everyone , in this NYY/NYM country I live, asks me why I didn't drop the Dodgers when they moved out of Brooklyn? I tell them, I rooted for the team and those Boys of Summer, and stayed with them and would have if they moved to Santa Fe or Ottawa or Sandusky..wherever. The Duke and Campy and PeeWee and Jackie, etc.? Drop that team? Are you fucking kidding?
    Maybe it's just not the city thing at all.
