Do you honestly believe that the Dodgers would not be better with Stanton on their team. Are you suggesting the current team would do better in the postseason without Stanton? Are you fucken retarted? Stanton would improve any team. Watch the Cardinals get him and win the World Series again.

You guys post some idiotic shit and are always picking on me for my thoughts and opinions, but this has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

    hey einstein
ever heard of the trade deadlines?
you do realize that anyone acquired now would not be eligible for postseason play, right?
of course you do... i mean, it's not like you're retarted
    :sarcasmalert:
thanks for making it so easy
btw, the reason people pick on you is because you keep saying stupid shit

lol at "replacing" puig with upton or heyward

Five big names who could be traded during the offseason
    by David Schoenfield | ESPN.com — 8 hours ago

    3. Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles Dodgers

It's pretty clear that Don Mattingly isn't a big fan of Puig, but what remains unclear is whether the front office wants to move forward with the mercurial right fielder in 2016. He has played just 77 games because of two separate hamstring injuries and has hit just .256/.324/.440, a letdown from his 2013-2014 performance, when he averaged 6.7 WAR per 650 plate appearances. You don't trade that kind of player easily, especially since he'll make a team-friendly $24.6 million the next three seasons and would still be under team control in 2019 as well.

Possible destination: Trading Puig could be contingent on what happens with Zack Greinke. If he opts out of his contract (almost certain) and signs elsewhere, and the Dodgers then fail to sign one of the big free-agent pitchers (David Price, Johnny Cueto, Jordan Zimmermann), they could use Puig as bait to acquire pitching help. But who has excess pitching? Well, there is a team in New York that may want to move a certain right-hander after the season ... and the Dodgers could always replace Puig with a free agent such as Justin Upton or Jason Heyward.

First of all, where does the " it's pretty clear Mattingly isn't a fan of Puig's" come from?
...and it's almost certain Greinke is opting out? And Mattingly is our manager again?
Boy, we are fucked or what?

Stanton's contract is very scary. I'm not even sure I even want it right now. I'm cool with Puig and his deal.

    • Will the Reds deal Aroldis Chapman this winter? If they do, it would require a blockbuster package, as Reds exec Kevin Towers tells Cafardo. Last month, Cafardo heard that the Reds were asking for an “incredibly unrealistic” return when the D’Backs and other clubs came calling for the closer at the deadline.

Makes sense. They aren't in an all out rebuild with those big contracts on their payroll.

makes it even more puzzling that they traded cueto
granted, that somehow worked out well for them (badly for kc)
9 earned runs in his last 9 innings, and 21 in the last 20
    but i digress
maybe they unloaded cueto to free up $$$ for chapman...
he should get a big raise in arbitration this offseason and will be a free agent in 2017

They pretty much picked Homer Bailey over Cueto, but yeah, between Chapman and Todd Frazier they're about to spend some cash in arbitration.

Probably gonna get a long term deal done at some point soon. They love dude there.

  18. We should offer Puig, Guerrero, Baez, Nicasio, Peralta and cash for him. In return they give us Chapman and Frazier.

    that's just stupid

    and racist too

  20. It's not stupid. It's a reasonable offer. Reds get a shitload of relievers to replace Chapman, and a better player in Guerrero to replavce Frazer.
