Side note. He also played Al Pacino's dad in Dog Day Afternoon. Was very brief. Also one of my favorite films. "Attica! Attica! Attica!"
Yeah, actually in quite a few films, but looked substantially different Met him once a few years back, when he was doing Boardwalk Empire. Did you know that Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon, is ranked fourth best acting performance in the top one hundred ever? Not to mention the great, gone from us way to soon, John Casale brilliant in it, too.
John Casale was sooooo underated as an actor. I wonder if it was because he kinda played off-kilter type characters...kinda unlikeable....Fredo, Sal, Stanley. But he played those characters so well. He and Meryl Streep were dating at the time. When he was playing Stanley in the Deer Hunter...his body was wracked with cancer and he knew he was going to die. The production company didnt want to cast him as Stanley because they were afraid he would die before production ended. De Niro apparently put up the insurance money himself because he wanted Casale to play the part. Hollywood seemed different then.
Not enough...almost up there with James Dean and his monumental three. Three/ four then...out. Another actor I really enjoyed who cashed out too soon, amd only made a handful of films, was Adolph Ceasar. Guy was riveting in Soldier's Story and Color Purple.
Puig post return from minors to MLB 3-6, 1 HR, 3 RBI's Reddick since acquisition .196, 1 HR, 2 RBI's in 99 plate appearances Why is there even a conversation? There isn't, so long as Puig keeps his nose clean.
Because the league wide trade interest in Puig actually mirrors Reddick's batting average since joining LAD Lol
Who said anything about life being fair? And wtf anyways Reddick has had 99 AB's to do ANYTHING and finally he wakes up? Oh since Puig's return he's done better? D'ya think? Now about those 25 games where Reddick sucked minor league testicles
I think it's good for the rest of the year to have Reddick/Puig platoon... unless Puig gets really hot, then put him out there every day.
Do the opposite of ole Donnie ball where he sat the hot bat as a rule. Hit to play. No hit = No play. Either one goes 0 For and they sit a game. They both go 0 For and you play Toles in RF. Fuckem. They get a hit they play tomorrow otherwise they alternate.
don't care about those 25 games if he's hot now the team kept winning and took/increased the lead if you're going to include those 25 games you might as well include his .296/.368/.449 slash line with oakland before the trade this hopefully they'll both stay hot and it will pose a favorable dilemma
no one does then, good problem to have LOL he thinks Andre Ethier is going to ever hit MLB pitching again. bkitch puhlease
if you have reason to believe otherwise i'd love to hear it and evidently management believes in him as well
i dont think you are understanding Caps point. the point is how incredibly biased people are when comparing puig and reddick reddick gets free passes for all his sucktitude and everyone points to his one hot week since puig is back and to his hot bat while on another team while pointing to his good production for a couple of seasons a few years ago while puig gets no points for his hot bat for 2 months prior to his demotion, his month in AAA, his great play for a couple seasons a few years ago while getting no passes for anything he does that isnt perfect mind the fact btw that puig plays against lefties which is a much more glaring need on this team AND that puig is not at his best against lefties yet still goes out there if puig only had to bat against his preferred type of pitcher like reddick does then puigs stats would be even better but puig stats are compared to reddicks stats where he is selectively rarely made to bat against lefties reddick also gets the lineup love by getting in there between guys like seager, turner and agon. lots of protection that allows him to see good pitches while puig has usually been placed in the bottom half of the order and many nimes near the bottom with much much weaker hitters to help him yet puig still has been better at driving in and scoring runs even when you consider reddicks production in oak. point is that reddick has gotten every advantage you can think in terms of lineup spot and protection from having to hit against his weakness while puig has been put in every disadvantageous position you can think of and still outproduces reddick
Reddick has been great since the return of Puig. MLB.com has his stats at a super nice .381 .409 .571 for the last 7 games. I know Puig hasnt been back for 7 games but thats the shortest time period of stats on the site. Thing is that Puig has been even better in that span. Of course that includes some games prior to his demotion too when he (sucked). .412 .474 .765 Remember that Puig hits to all types of pitchers while Reddick gets to 'feast' on his preferred diet of righty pitchers. Andrew Toles is killing it and should be playing way more. .500 .571 1.083, that last number is SLG not OPS, yikes. Kendrick is playing well too but it doesnt compare to the other guys .286 .429 .286 Those are great numbers for a leadoff hitter though. But before that he was in a pretty good slump for a few weeks.
