can we just admit bellinger isn't ready? edit: although he still has as many hrs as adrian and turner combined
Yep. Baseball teams who field scrubs every other day for a starting lineup probably arent going to be successful. It might work... It worked to some extent last season. but I'm not so sure it was on this scale. Sometimes I'm selective with my outrage and don't look at things logically. Right now it feels helpless when we have these guys starting so many games. I'm not blaming anybody for it. The front office does a good job and I tend to understand their thought process for most moves that they make. Just saying watching this is brutal and I'm not so confident we're going to run away with this division again
True... My point was that a lot of these players that other teams seem to acquire cost a lot in prospects. These trades are so cost prohibitive that they have little alternative but to sign low-risk medium upside guys. Unfortunately he's medium upside guys suck balls. I agree with you to that degree. They need to aim higher. Braun. Braun. Braun. Last year it worked pretty good getting the second-tier guys like Hill and Reddick even though Reddick sucked. We got within two games of the World Series and I really felt we had a legitimate chance to win it. It was a bad year to be the second best team in the National League. This year, especially with Adrian being done, the offense can't withstand having so many role players starting so many games. Even our good hitters like jock and yasmani are so inconsistent and hit in very low volume comma so it's difficult to score runs. Please is not a very good hitter. He's a great defensive outfielder but the swing isn't there. His offensive production has been smoking mirrors since 2015. Any hit he gets I just as soon as look at this point. So, yeah... We need Forsyth back we need jock to step up, we need yasmani to do his defensive thing low in the order, and we need Braun
