Went right over my head, since my balls are high and tight, and I have my own teeth, so I don't get it. Have to leave now, to oil my titanium hip...
tonight's game is huge imo lose and yesterday's win is almost negated win and it's two in a row heading to washington... proof that you can win a game started by someone other than kershaw and biggest of all -- darvish needs to step the fuck up huge disappointment [after his first start] has averaged less than 4⅓ in his last three starts stop over-analyzing everything... go out there and attack if the hitters attack back, tip your hat but stop nibbling [no homo] and go after people
Not only that, but yesterday's win was anything but comfortable. Against teams like the gnats we should have a comfortable win (or 2) every series.
Does make you wonder why the alleged best starting pitcher acquired at the deadline is still tweaking mechanics at this stage of the season. Meanwhile, Verlander throws a CG shutout last night vs. the Angels.
maybe he has to nibble because if he goes all out he will be gassed by the 5th inning that i think is his style, use his huge repertoire to keep people on their toes then blow them away with the heat when they arent expecting it only to set them up again for some weird pulled out of his ass pitch now if he could get past the 5th innig
uh wut? he's averaged less than 4⅓ his last three starts while before coming here he averaged >6 innings in 22 starts nibbling is exactly what's getting him gassed too many pitches didn't trade one of our best hitting prospects for a guy that can't make it to the 5th dude needs to step it up
Yeah, but there were a lot of voices here that were concerned about Verlander too. It's not like he was having a no brainer amazing year. Plus, he stayed in the AL, a less traumatic transition than Yu going to the NL. That being said, what's done is done. I'm crossing my fingers Yu figures it out pronto.
Wednesday is an important start for Darvish, who’s allowed 10 runs (in 7⅓ innings) in his last two starts. He has a 5.34 ERA since joining the Dodgers' rotation at the non-waiver Trade Deadline. "I'm not too worried about it," Darvish said of his recent struggles through a team interpreter. "It's not like somebody has called me out specifically. Like I said before, in your lifetime, there are certain tough situations that come up now and then. We're in that situation right now. What we can do is focus on what we can do."
Wasn't making the case for Verlander, just making a comparison. Hugh struggles to finish five innings without shitting himself, while Verlander throws a CG.

#Dodgers v #Giants LHP Matt Moore tonight Taylor CF Seager SS Turner 3B Bellinger 1B Forsythe 2B Barnes C Hernandez LF Puig RF Darvish P This is probably the starting lineup moving forward against lefties and I can dig it. Forsythe and Enrique are really good against lefties
