And the Fabulous Forum is a bad comparison. Dodger Stadium is already in the heart of LA. Not Inglewood. And as much as you love your Lakers, basketball arenas are generic. They are recognized by their floors. Baseball parks are unique from other sports and the history and character are more noticeable and tangible. The Lakers moving to Staples is far less dramatic than a Dodger move from Chavez Ravine to downtown or anywhere else. The lakers may have taken popularity over with their success, but their arena is irrelevant. They are basically a stage show whereas the Dodgers are a more intimate blue collar experience; Dodger Stadium is a part of that.

It's funny, this board has become just condensing and clique-ie. The place is a fucking dump and the lipstick on it won't change it. Deal with it.

And don't call me your homie, bc I'm not and if you think you are, you wouldn't talk like that, you'd be genuine, not half ass backwards and passive aggressive in your statements. Just don't come at me anymore, done...

Fuck that goes for more than half of you pussies in here.

and then I read on to BLF's response ...wow BLF. You might be overreacting a bit homie. (I can call you that can't I) :hide:

I thought we were all homies. you know...buds who share the same interests and virtually hang out together. I wasn't trying to be condescending, I was trying to give the opposite impression but guess I failed. You were trashing the stadium with such conviction and passion and under the circumstances of the renovation it didn't make sense.

But you're basically saying, "I don't like you". I said I respect your opinions but everything you said was accounted for in the renovation plans by Janet Smith and so it came off like you were just being stubborn about it.

If I didn't respect you I wouldn't have responded to you. I really didn't get the passionate hate about our home stadium and ignoring the upgrades.

And please don't act like I'm coming after you. Because I don't. You just called half of us pussies. So if there is a lair event, should I even come? Because honestly you're taking it too far right now.

After re reading what I said, yes--I could've avoided some words. And I apologize. But I don't think my words should induce what you're saying. You set a very heated tone and inadvertently I played a bit to it.

Still kinda sucky though when you think you're cool with people and they tell you not to talk to you anymore and you're a pussy, along with half the people on here. Especially after you've personally met someone.

I agree that Dodger Stadium was a dump, but I'm excited to see it with the renovations. Everything sounds great.

IMO, this only highlights how shitty McCourt was. McCourt did socalled "renovations" to add seats, but left up the 1979 10" tube TV's next to the concessions for us to watch while standing in line for shitty Dodger Dogs. Another 50 years at DS under McCourt would have been a disaster.

Will I be able to cruise down to the field level to walk around the stadium now without someone flipping out because I only have Reserve Level Tix?

If they have to open in the Coliseum =100+K for opening day on ESPN against the fags. I'd almost PREFER to open at the Coliseum. That'd be sick!

DS def needs work but i always felt like i was home there no matter how old or backwards the utilities were. mccourt wasn't the first cheap owner to own the team btw. the omalleys were notoriously thrifty people. besides the people of LA do not pay for stadiums and renovations like other cities. thats why we don't have a football team.
strange thing to see a long time poster meltdown over a difference of opinion. gotta figure its a bad day/month or something. but if i am on those list of pussies thanks for telling me. :gaywave:

Dodgers and Angels don't have a Home Game on the same day until May 13. The Dodgers could play the first month + week in Anaheim if needed, and I think that's more likely the contingency plan.

Not as cool, but that 180' Moonshot wall in LF will be a tough sell to MLB.
