By the way, did you know that Ruth used a 50-ounce bat? With that kind of speed at that weight, it's no wonder he clobbered the shit out of the baseball. That's ridiculously heavy by today's standards...

I wanted to let you know about the voting. As for posting the results I think I'll wait til Monday. I had somebody submit votes to me yesterday, and on top of that more people may vote if it remains open through the weekend.
    • A 1st place vote was worth 5 points, a 2nd place vote was 4 points, a 3rd place vote was 3 points, a 4th place vote was 2 points, and a 5th place vote was 1 point.
    • Tie breakers were determined by which movie received the most votes, regardless of what spot they got the vote in. For example, if Movie A and Movie B both had 5 points, but Movie A only appeared on one ballot while Movie B appeared on two ballots, then Movie B would be placed higher on the list.

I agree. I was really surprised that Major League got the top spot. It's a really good movie. Really funny. But best baseball movie ever? I can't agree with that.

Brewster's Millions is not a baseball movie. In fact, the only thing involving baseball that is remotely important to the plot is to create a backstory on how Pryor's and Candy's characters became friends.

Since you weren't around to vote (I know you signed up today, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it was just now so you couldn't vote... which sucks), how about you give us your top 5?

It is. Field of Dreams is overrated. I think Major League is the right pick...
